Review summary

My only complaint about this cruise again was the casino being able to have smoking and not contained so you did have to walk through it and smell it on different floors. Otherwise it was a great cruise, the weather could’ve cooperated a little bit better, but that can be expected in February. Staff and food were wonderful.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Food was delicious. We tried almost every place you could eat, all very good

Onboard Activities

I found there wasn’t a whole lot to do. I did play bingo, watched wheel of Fortune. We did go bowling, that was fun!

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The Beatles show was excellent. I was not super crazy about burn the floor, but boy could they dance just not crazy about their outfits. There was not a whole lot of other entertainment a few things but nothing I would write home about.

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

Our rooms Stewart, Dante was excellent. Would hope if I do another cruise I would get him again. Also, all the crew at Starbucks were wonderful. It’s amazing how they can remember your name after getting only one coffee.

Ship Quality

I would’ve given this more stars, if the casino would’ve been contained, and not on the sixth floor, where they allow smoking as well. That was very irritating to have to go through. Even if you were on the seventh or fifth floor you could still smell it.

Cabin / Stateroom

I was pleasantly surprised with all the space and little cubby holes that you had to put things I felt very comfortable. The bed wasn’t super comfortable but that’s expected when it’s not your own.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

This is where we got on the ship it was nice. We did not do any excursions here.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

Unfortunately, we only got to be at the beach for about an hour and a half, and it started to pour down rain and they tendered us back to the boat. I believe we would’ve had a great time though had it not of rained.

Falmouth, Jamaica

We did not do an excursion at this port. We did get off the boat for about 45 minutes and walked around. Lots of shopping, but nothing that I would write home about.

George Town, Grand Cayman

We were supposed to come right in to the center city, but they had a storm and it got washed out. So we had to get tendered to a different part of the city. Ended up having to take taxis to get to center of the city. Thought maybe because of this we wouldn’t have to pay for the taxi but no, we did have to pay and was very disappointed when we got into the city. Lots of shopping but very boring Only stayed for half an hour and got paid again to go back to the boat. I did get one picture of us standing in front of the sign so I guess maybe that was worth it.

Cozumel, Mexico

We did do an excursion in this port. We did the beach snorkeling excursion. The snorkeling was wonderful, so enjoyed that, but the beach itself I really wouldn’t consider it much of a beach. The sand was very pebbly and you couldn’t just get into the water you had to climb downstairs that were very slippery and the ocean just came in and almost took you away. Luckily it was a cloudier day because there was not a lot of shade or wind and it would’ve been miserable. Had it been hot because you couldn’t go into the water much. again the snorkeling was very fun though and the food was delicious.

I’ve been on two other cruises on a different cruise and NCL was definitely the fastest disembark I’ve ever had. From start to finish, which was back at my hotel I don’t believe was even 45 minutes. It was great!
