Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Nothing outstanding...

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Spa was nice.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Shows sold out or in venues too small for a ship with 4000+ passengers.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Staff was working hard (not enough of them?) and most very friendly & helpful.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
VERY CROWDED, common areas not large enough to handle # of passengers.

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
Our cabin had a smell of urine & the floor in the toilet room was sticky. Ship shows lots of wear & tear.

Ship tip

Don't

Ports of call

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas Did not visit port

Couldn't tender in because of weather so another day at sea with 4000 unhappy people.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Raining so we choose not to go on excursion. Later when rain stopped we got off & walked on the pier. Nothing to see or do there...blah.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

2 out of 5
Limited time. 6am to 2pm but got a couple extra hours because they skipped Stirrup Cay. Then we got stuck in rain at the top of paradise point.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

3 out of 5
'Wild truck' excursion... was just driving over undeveloped roads in the back of a dump truck. Beach was down (and up) 2 flights of stairs so not very accessible.

Our experience recently is that most ships in the carribbean are overcrowded. I think it is that they count full capacity at 2 people per cabin, and many cabins have more than 2 people. This is an industry issue that should be addressed.
