Review summary

I heard about the split bathroom issues and the wavy desing of the cabins. This is my third trip on a Norwegian ship and really, this is the WORST..!!! Never again will travel on the Epic.

Moderno Churresqueria, wonderful for meat lovers. The salad bar was not so good. Le Bistro, was my biggest deception. Salty food and tiny escargots. Breakfast at Taste was good. Miss the old recipe for O'Sheehan's Grill fried wings. Ask for the chocolate cheesecake. It still the best...!!!

Onboard Activities

Huge fitness center and wonderful water slides. May improve the Spice H2O area, with live music and control the ash from the cruise ship funnels.

BURN THE FLOOR was outstanding...!!!! The best show. Also the tribute to Elton John was wonderful.

Ship Quality

Hallways smells like sewer all the time. Don't understand why this ship has an escalator. Also, there's no 5th floor button on the elevators. You feel a lost looking for the 4th and 5th floors. Spiegeltent venue was not in use. I wonder for what it is used.

Cabin / Stateroom

Don't like the split design for the staterooms bathroom. The toilet flush, was so loud that you can heard it from other staterooms. Better bring your sanitizer. It is unsanitary after use the toilet to open any door without washing your hands. The sink it is away from the toilet. Comfortable but small beds. Your legs will be hanging from the bed. 2 big guests, will not fit in this cabin.

Ship tip

Bring your sanitizer and a smell control device or fragrance to your stateroom.

Arriving to the same old terminal. No music at arrival. Officers at the pier, were so rude. Beware with the Taxis scam. Better use Uber or pay for NCL transportation to the airport.

We are sailing tge end of May and are really looking forward to it. Epic is an older ship so differences are to be expected. We find taking each adventure one at a time with flexible expectations works best. Haven't been disappointed yet. We are always in the Haven and that helps a bit.

The sink is away from the toilet, does that mean you want to wash your face while sitting on the toilet?

The comment about the sanitizer makes no sense. Many homes, hotels, and public bathrooms (yes, stalls have doors) have a door that separates it from the sink. Somehow we survive opening it then washing your hands. It’s actually probably more sanitary since you wash your hands after going through the door and before you touch anything else.
