Review summary

We were disappointed with the ship. It was very crowded, noisy and difficult to get around since we had a scooter. I'm sure that new cruisers who were young and didn't have mobility issues they would have loved the experience. Since I've been on many cruises I would say the Epic was the worst cruise I've been on. Unfortunately, In addition, some of the guests we cruised with came home with the Covid virus.

Embarkation

OK because we had a wheelchair.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
They have cut back on variety. They use to have prime rib and lobster one night. There was always a long wait at the Manhattan room. The buffet was usually a mad house. The specialty dining was very nice as you had a specific time and it wasn't noisy.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
the ship was packed to the brim so the atrium was over crowded and very loud. The dance classes were fun and the staff were very knowable.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The two shows were Very professional ! One music group wasn't very good. The Hispanic group were great!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The servers tried to fill all your requests. One night I told the server that I wanted to go to the show so it made sure I could be served in a timely manner.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
The ship was not designed for the handclapped passenger! The back elevator didn't even stop at deck 5. There was an escalator that connected the 6th and fifth floor but you couldn't use that either. The bathroom arrangement was not satisfactory. Not like any of the other ships I have been on.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Since we had a handicapped cabin, we had plenty of room. When you took a shower the drainage backed up so the whole floor had an inch of water. the balcony was very nice.

Ship tip

Don't go on the Epic if you are handicapped.
