We loved the ports on this cruise!! The steak restaurant and shows were great. The boat needed some updates. The embarkation was awful.
Embarkation
1 out of 5
Embarkation was a Nightmare!! The sailing before ours came out of Barcelona on a transatlantic to Puerto Rico. I heard a couple deaths occurred (advised they were natural and the people were elderly with pre-existing conditions). We also heard there were several people who had gotten a stomach virus. We were advised to board 1pm-4pm. We waited until 1pm to try and get a cab. The traffic was bad near the port that there were no cabs available until 4pm. We heard this was because they not let the previous passengers off the boat until 2pm. Anyway we got to the port and there was the hugest line I have ever seen. People were in the line for 2 hours just to get in the building. Totally unacceptable!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
We enjoyed the food. The Steak house was the best!! We also thought the bartenders did a great job keeping up with the high volume of customers that got the drink package incentive.
Onboard Activities

The shows, comedy, dueling pianos, were great!!
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
I felt that their customer service could have been better.
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
The ship could use some touch ups. I didn’t like the pool and you were not able to have an alcoholic beverage in the whirlpools. Also the back pool deck for adults rained chips of sit from the Smoke stacks.
Cabin / Stateroom

We had a mini suite with a tub. Plenty of storage but very odd bathroom accommodations. Also the tub needed some updates.
Ship tip
We chose this cruise for the itinerary, and the perks. I think NCL has a lot of competition out there and need to step up their game. The cruise price was higher than some competitors but the amenities were not. They market you with the perks but need to step it up to keep you coming back. We enjoyed ourselves but would have enjoyed the amenities more or a nicer ship.
