Review summary

The cruise took us to wonderful cities, but other than Naples, our best days were in Barcelona and Rome where we made our own arrangements.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Main dining room was tasty, and we loved Moderno.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
All of the facilities and built in activities were great, but there wasn't any programming the entire cruise that was interesting to us.

Ship Quality

The ship was very clean, but the design of the ship is incredibly flawed. The bathrooms in the stateroom are split in half, so the toilet and shower are across from each other, and the sink is on the desk. There are also other parts of the ship that are poorly designed: you cannot get to deck 5 from one staircase, if you are walking on one side of the ship on deck 6, you hit a dead end and need to turn around. For a new ship, it was seriously flawed and frustrating.

Cabin / Stateroom

Small room, but lots of shelf and storage space. We needed to stay organized, but in doing so the room was comfy. The bathroom was incredibly annoying.

Ship tip

Be prepared for the annoying bathroom setup in your stateroom.

Ports of call

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy

Our tour guide in Florence was very annoying and uninteresting.

Cannes, France

Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands

Not really a worthwhile port. We should've just spent the day on the beach instead of doing an excursion.

Barcelona, Spain

None of the offered excursions took us to the sites we wanted to go, so we made our own plans. Barcelona itself was amazing, and the port was quite nice.

Naples, Italy

Disembarkation

Very quick and easy, although we needed to take our own luggage because we were told the port in Civitavecchia didn't have a great spot to hold all of the luggage. If we needed to have them help with the luggage, we would have needed to leave the ship by 730 or something which was much too early.
