Review summary

My opinion basically is that this sailing was more inclined and catered to people of an older age group. I am 38 and it was not a Big Bang for me.

Food was excellent however I feel staff at restaurants should be more welcoming and upbeat.

I feel the ships entertainment director did very poor with regards to assuring passengers a memorable vacation by planning exciting and lively entertainment with competition and prizes so guests can interact more and interact more.

Staff was okay. However, I feel staff should pay more attention in being more upbeat, happy and welcoming especially at the bars and pool area.

Upon arrival the ship was in a very poor state. Halls were messy and bad odor all over the place.

Just got off the ship and my only complaint regarding cleanliness was that the windows on the ship looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in weeks and weren’t cleaned during the cruise. Sitting in the restaurants and spa saunas while looking out grimy windows was a bit depressing. Splendor of the Seas docked behind us this morning and in a half hour there were men attached to ropes on top of that ship cleaning the windows in the dark.

Did epic med and breakaway Bahamas. The med cruise as mentioned above whilst I enjoyed it was quieter. I’m Irish and I do find Europeans can be more reserved and less likely to mix. It’s not a generalisation. I’ve been on about 7 med cruises and would prefer smaller ships. Breakaway was much more of a party atmosphere plus Americans are generally friendlier

If you did the Mediterranean cruise, well yes, there is more older people. That type of cruise is more expensive. So, more older people on the ship.

Sailed on the Epic in 2017 and going again next year. I’m in early 40’s and I love the ship. Always something to do. Food and entertainment are good. Service is perfect. Love the deck parties they have going on on almost every night.

I sailed on the Epic years ago and did not have a good experience. Didn't realize we were sailing during Spring Break. Ship was dirty, garbage all over on tables, floors, hallways. The staff could not keep up with passengers needs in reference to requests for drinks, food, cleaning tables, etc. We are patient, usually go with the flow, but didn't appreciate how dirty it was everywhere and the extra long waiting times for everything. Weren't sure if the problem was that they were understaffed or from the spring breakers. 😞
