Review summary

NCL and Cruise.com were significantly over the top trying to upsell you on packages or other cruises. get ready to receive almost daily sales pitches via emails. It was exhausting trying to sort through the real important emails from just the spam

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Not providing ample free water supplies is insulting and a cheap way for NCL to once again try to upsell you to a more expensive package. Water is not potable in the rooms and all water sources have big, bold signs asking travelers not to fill water bottles. Water should be free

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
$250 for internet (only one person at a time) is another slap on the face. NCL is more interested in upselling their services than on a good customer experience

Ah the entitlement! I need the information, but not the hassle of having to read it... Water should be free, and it is, unless I want it in a plastic bottle, but I don't want to pay for the plastic bottle, I would rather contribute to pollution by using it instead of a glass of water! My goodness, what is this world coming to? Could you tell if some of the things that you liked perhaps as well? Or was there nothing

What did you like about the cruise to rate it 3 stars?

Nothing wrong with NCL charging for WiFi; it makes sense that the users would pay. If you don't like the price or service, don't buy it. Not enough water? Every tap on the ship IS potable, and as @belfy said, they just don't want you putting your germ-ridden bottle on the tap. If you don't want their emails, just unsubscribe. So much šŸ‚šŸ’© in your review, IMHO.

Booked 4 cruises directly with NCL and haven't had that issue and hope I don't.

They don't want you filling water bottles at drink stations because of germs..just take one of their glasses and fill your bottle with that.

I receive email from NCL and I never was harassed on trying to sell me packages. The email mustā€™ve been from Cruise.com. Water is available and free everywhere. At every bar and every restaurants. You canā€™t fill up your own water bottle at the buffet to avoid contamination. But just take a couple of glasses to your table and fill up your bottle there. Never had a problem. And i try to take the stairs as much as possible so I can indulge on a desert. So the Ā«Ā lackĀ Ā» of elevators was never a problem for me.

Guess we've never had a problem getting water. Any bar or restaurant will serve you as much as you want by the glass, or you can get it for yourself at the Garden Cafe, all without extra cost. Bottles are extra if you want them, and we have bought a few, but water has just never been a vacation-spoiling issue on our cruises We've also intentionally avoided internet service, so cost never bothered us. Part of the joy of cruise vacations for us is disconnecting from all the stress-and-worry-generating electronic distractions. We've never even selected 'Free Wifi' as part of a promotion. I'm not sure how $250 compares to other lines. We book directly through NCL so nothing from Cruise.com. I've always found it pretty easy to sort out the promos from the 'official's stuff. A few minutes navigating links in the small print and you can opt out of the promos anyway. Sorry a hand full of irritations kept you from having a better cruise. Hope your next one is better.

I agree, that is somewhat true with other cruise lines also
