Review summary

See all of my other text entries. We were unfortunately routed to the Western Caribbean due to hurricane Irma. The ship's design left a lot to be desired.

Embarkation

2 out of 5
Embarkation delayed 4 hours due to customs inspection. No text messages or emails to advise us of the delay. Not a good way to start a cruise.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The bed was too short. My feet stuck out over the end of the bed. The cabin was poorly designed. The "Euro style" toilet area was poorly designed. There was no way to pass each other in some areas of the cabin. There were only 2 elevator banks (none in the middle) and at least 2 elevators were locked out for the Haven passengers. The specialty restaurants had very limited capacity. We were not able to make a reservation for Cagney's Steakhouse even before we boarded the ship.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Unfortunately several of the bars were closed during the daytime. The others were always busy.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The shows were grewat.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Very attentive.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
No open air restaurant existed because of the absence of ocean view cabins. This also eliminated the ability to walk around the ship on a promenade deck. The only open air restaurant was in the pool area. Not very enjoyable due to the traffic.

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
Poorly designed. Bed too short. Too narrow.

Ship tip

Do not take a mega-ship cruise!!
