We did enjoy our cruise.
Had fun with new found friends.
In general , the crowd on the ship was very most amicable, probably because most of us had suffered at Embarkation , and wanted to make the most of every hour that we WERE on vacation.
Embarkation

Zero.......Not NCL fault , but it was a horrible experience to be kept in the sun for hours waiting to board... and we arrived after 3PM as instructed....
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Quality of food was very good except on Thanksgiving, all restaurants had over an hour's wait, so we ate in the Buffet .... Turkey was great , cannot say the rest was.....
"Taste", the wait was so long to be acknowledged, even longer to get water , then cold bread ( but that was every evening !) ......we did not return to that restaurant. No smiles....
Excellent evening in The Brazilian Restaurant...and in Cirque.....
We found it hard to use our three dining experiences, they kept telling us that everything was fully booked.... WE needed the assistance of managers to fulfill what we had paid for.
I booked for shows on line at home, they said that it was not showing in their system at all.....that also was interesting .....we were sent to four different locations, then found the right person to help.
We met fun people , we did enjoy our cruise.
Onboard Activities

So much to do on ship.
Entertainment

Excellent stage shows.
Loved the opening Beatles show, got the cruisers in a better mood after waiting in the hot sun for hours.....
Priscilla ...superb
Burn the Floor , excelled in everything.....
Service and Staff

Not too impressed with service in Taste, The Bistro , Manhatten was better.......
Ship Quality

The Balcony staterooms were small , and "odd".
Low lighting was rather hard to cope with.
Luckily we have a sense of humor , but two people could not walk past a bed at the same time !!
Ship Design: Who would plan to have an "up scale" restaurant, The Bistro, under a bowling alley ??? Who would not put glass in the walls , for windows , when there is a noisy walkway at the side of the restaurant? !!! We found it comical, but honestly , we did , and were supposed to , dress formally for this event........ Not too impressed....
Cabin / Stateroom

Mid ship balcony , great location for us.
As mentioned before , it was rather unexpectedly small .
There was enough cupboard space ,but it was a game trying to find what opened !
The plugs were hidden in a cupboard!
Yes, the layout was a surprise, but we coped.
Our steward was very good.
Ship tip
Be prepared to be able to cope with the layout.
Be prepared to enjoy remarkable shows...
The food, in general, was very good quality.
WE live close by.
Oh dear , we have made 35 cruises so far , many out of this port , boarding was avoidably inconvenient.
The port did not supply enough officers for embarkation, nor debarkation.....................why ??????
We have been on Oasis twice, and Allure ( Ft Lauderdale) never encountered a problem....in fact we have booked another cruise on Oasis , we love big ships............
We met each other in Jamaica, so it is truly special to us. We have had many land vacations there.
We tried the beach break , and it was most enjoyable , new experiences,.......despite the rain!
Zero.
We live locally , we carry our own suitcases.... we should be able to simply walk off............
Why were there such long lines?
Understand that they could always do with extra officers........ however , we feel that the flow could have been swifter to get off the ship. It has never been a problem before on any other ship.....
