Review summary

Nice cruise for first time cruise. See above for more in depth comments. I would probably do this again; I'm just not sure when as 7-days was a pretty long cruise for our first time.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Long lines to embark but didn't take too long. This was my first cruise so I have nothing to compare it to.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
I'm a bit of a foodie, so I stayed close to Manhattan dining room and Taste for decent, complimentary food choices. Garden cafe was ok but after a few days it starts to get old with the same choices and less than thrilling dessert/or healthy options.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Alot of fun interactive activities especially for older guests. I was toward the younger element on board and would have stayed more to the fitness center and rock climbing had this cruise not been so busy with all the ports.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The entertainment was nice, something for everyone.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The staff was good. My room steward was attentive just had to remind him to clean the bathroom once. waiters were all great. I called room service and operator quite a bit as I had questions, that may have been why I perceived a bit of an attitude when I called but as I insisted on getting answers to my questions and of course spent money on services, the tone improved.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The common areas were kept clean and the layout and design was good. Some elevators were down occasionally was not too annoying until disembarkation but with 4k people on board I assume this is inevitable. There might be a better way to organize disembarkation and maybe not try to get so many people out before 10am.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was a good size for two of us. We had a balcony so it made it even better. I wouldn't put two more people in this cabin, Maybe a child or a teenager if not it would have been too small.

Ship tip

Buy the water unless you plan on chugging water in port. The water on board can make you sick if you have a sensitive stomach. The water is a bit exorbitant in price, however, I wish they would allow people to bring their own water on board and maybe just limit it to less than a case.

Ports of call

Barcelona, Spain

5 out of 5
Barcelona is a wonderful beautiful city. No need to do excursions just walk around and you can figure it out yourself.

Naples, Italy

4 out of 5
Naples was a great city in my opinion. A little gritty in areas but unassuming, historical city that deserves a second look with great food options. Next time, I would do an excursion and see the amalfi coast or Capri as it is also beautiful.

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

4 out of 5
Not much to do at this port, very small only intended to hold ship while you explore Rome and surrounding areas. Rome is great of course.

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy

4 out of 5
Not much to do at this port, very small only intended to hold ship while you explore Florence and surrounding areas. Florence is beautiful as well as the surrounding areas in Tuscany.

Cannes, France

5 out of 5
Rotisserie chicken all over the place and great bread. Great town to walk around, shop, eat and take in the sights.

Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands

5 out of 5
Palma had so much to do. Mallorca really should be a place you go to stay a long weekend. So much to do and see!

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Probably should be better organized. It was all over the place. The timing was not ideal and then hailing a taxi is even worse.
