Review summary

I was plesantly pleased overall with this Cruise. Loved all the ports and beautiful mediterranean views. I was worried about the large amount of guests but it didn't seem as bad as ecpected. And tbe ship was extremely stable you could hardly feel it moving! This was a plus for me because I get sea sick in rough seas.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Our Taxi was able to deliver us to NCL Terminal checkin. Norweigan crew came to Taxi and took our tagged bags. We immediately walked into termial for checkin and were on the ship within 30 min! Best embarkation experience yet!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was very good with nice presentation in main dining rooms. The buffet had huge selection with freshly prepared options. And excellent dining in the Brazilan, Italian, & French restaurants! We had a premium drink package and were able to get any drink we wanted....well worth having.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Low rating, because we were never onboard enough to participate in activities, except casino in evening.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Beatle band was very entertaining. The Cirque show was delightful and very kid friendly. And we also liked some of the small headliner shows. The main production, Priscilla, was lavish--good staging and grat costumes BUT the story line was unappealing.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff was very well trained and always wanting to please! Most come from the Phillipines and are trained to please the guests and want to provide special service!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Well maintained and very clean. I thought the photo gallery took up too much space and had to walk around photo sessions when going to Le Bristro. In fact, we almost missed our reservstion time because couldn't see entrance!

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Liked the split bathroom and great storage spaces. Loved balcony and all the beautiful views. The bed was little short for my husband...he is 6'2" snd feet hung off edge. Our room steward did his best with moving mattress out a little.

Ship tip

Tip: Beverage package is a Plus. Expect wait time at elevators because of large capacity...I think msybe 4,000 guests. Also, buffett is crowded and noisy during peak times.

Ports of call

Barcelona, Spain

5 out of 5
Easy ON and OFF Ship, which is very important for me. Stayed over for 4 days. You can walk to many areas, good transpotation and many attractions. Awesome city. Loved all the Gaudi places.

Naples, Italy

4 out of 5
Pompeii a must see. And beautiful coast biews from Sorrento.

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

3 out of 5
Had very little time to see Rome. Had to take two different shuttle buses to trsin station. This left veryittle time for sightseeing. And our return train was so late we barely made it to ship ln time. Not a good experience.

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy

5 out of 5
We hired our own Taxi tour with several other cruise mates. We loved both Pisa and Florence....would like to vome back and stay longer.

Cannes, France

3 out of 5
We took the NCL excursion to Nice and were able to get on an early tender to port. The port was interesting, but Nice was just OK.

Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands

3 out of 5
We took the excursion to pearl factory and got to see some interesting countryside. The Pearl factory took up alot of time and probably not worth going here. I liked walking around Palma better. And there were many, many pearl stores in Palma.

Disembarkation

The taxi lines are very long. Probably 30-45 min wait.
