Epic not my favorite ship

Sail Date: December 28, 2015

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Balcony

holds too many passengers for the size of its facilities. Everything seemed crowded. Couldn't walk anywhere without shoulder to shoulder crowds. The elevators were the worst. There were not nearly enough of them. We had wait times of 5-10 minutes each time we needed one. Also the elevators were only located fore and aft none midship so it was a long walk from almost all cabins to get anywhere.

Cabin / Stateroom
Loved our steward. Cabin was somewhat smaller than other cabins I've had on various cruises. Didn't really like the layout. Cabin was kept very clean.
Embarkation and Disembarkation
Ship Quality
Ship held too many people. The public places had a hard time accommodating everyone.
Destinations and Excursions
Way too expensive. Arranged our own with help from Tripadvisor that were much more reasonable.
Onboard Activities
Not many we could get in to.
Service and Staff
Food and Dining
Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy
Get private car. Cheaper than anything offered onboard and customizable.
Naples, Italy
Same as Chivtiveccia.
Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands
Just walk around. Take the hop on hop off bus to get into the heart of the city. Don't miss the cathedral it's beautiful.
Barcelona, Spain
