Beautiful, huge, ship. Hard to even notice when the ship is underway. Excellent condition of every part of the ship. Magnificent support from the ship's staff of 1700. The food was so good, that I gained 4 pounds during the week long cruise. Excellent, very professional entertainment shows...as good as some I have seen in Las Vegas. Very well designed cabins (except the prior occupants smoked in our cabin). Don't know general pricing of Internet access on other ships, but I consider their lowest rate of $25/day for the whole cruise... to be too pricy for me. But all in all, a magnificent experience. I would have no qualms at all to take another cruise onboard the Epic. VERY well done.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
Excellent overall quality of the included food service (a bit over salted and under seasoned otherwise... but excellent overall)
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The majority of the shows were AMAZING. The Circ show and Burn the Floor were worthy of a $100 admission. The Dueling Pianos artists exhibited a huge repertoire of hundreds of songs.
Service and Staff
Uniformly GREAT service. Zandy Casino was the cocktail waitress for 4 of our evening entertainment shows. She went particularly out of her way to care for our party of 4, and was particularly enthusiastic and friendly.
Ship Quality
From our perspective, a PERFECT score. Kudos to the crew!
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Cabin Attendant, Henson, took excellent care of our every need. His artistry with towel animation put smiles on our faces. Beautiful and very efficient cabin layout. Excellent first experience..and sets a VERY high bar for future comparison.
Ship tip
As Steve's travel guide recommended, we brought critical items inside our carry bag...and one of our large bags was delayed arriving until into the evening.
Even with a rainy morning, THIS was my FAV visit. SO many centuries of history... AND the absolutely INCREDIBLE architecture on virtually every street. Visiting the Vatican speaks for itself.
Excellent first experience of France. We grabbed a great taxi driver to give us a tour. We got to see the French Riviera Coast, Nice, a perfume factory, and had lunch in Monaco. Does it get any better?
With only 4 hours ashore, we made the most of the time by grabbing another taxi to take us to a castle fortress and also to a major resort beach/shopping area.
