Very relaxing, theatre shows very entertaining. Like walking around and finding entertainment

This was my 29th cruise and first post covid. Not sure if that had anything to do with it but it’s just not the same as it used to be. I think this will be my last ncl cruise.

Post-Pandemic Norwegian is hurting. Service was severely lacking. Most people we talked to on the boat said they will be looking at a different cruise line next time, our family included.

1) Thin walls in cabins; 2) Customer service was AWFUL; We complained many times about noise in next cabin (mother constantly screaming profanities at her kids) and nothing was done except for customer service manager telling us on second to last night she could move us if we wanted. Really? You can't ask our cabin neighbor to stop screaming profanities? 3) Room service experience was bad. It took 15 minutes to answer phone; meal took 65 minutes to be delivered (45 was promised) and 1 of 2 meals ordered was wrong; 4) When making initial cruise reservation, there was a promotion for free 6-pack of water. According to front desk, this promotion only starts in 2023. After speaking w/ several people, the service desk manager promised to have a 6-pack of water delivered to our cabin free of charge. The 6-pack never came. 5) The sign-up for certain activities like the racetrack, laser tag and Choir Man show is ridiculous. Despite trying to sign-up within an hour of embarking, almost every slot was taken-up for the entire duration of the cruise. 6) When we were able to make a reservation for the racetrack, it didn't mean anything because they let so many walk-ons go on that we ended-up not being able to race until 75 minutes after scheduled race time, which in turn impacted our diner reservations that night; 7) App is hit or miss, especially when it comes to making reservations. We couldn't use the app to sign-up for laser tag and racetrack. We could use app to sign-up for dinner reservations; however, what we signed-up for never appeared in the app so if we didn't write down or remember what restaurant we signed-up for on what day, we had to wait in the LONG line at customer service in order for them to be able to tell us; 8) Excursions were a joke. Missed originally scheduled excursions due to bad weather and weren’t notified of change until morning of, which left little time to prepare to choose from a hastily thrown together list of excursions. Talked with two staff members who confirmed Norwegian knew the day before that each planned excursion destination was going to be changed. 9) There is not enough service staff at main pool area and pool bars. Finding a server was difficult and each trip to the bar turned into a 20 to 30 minute wait to get drinks.

Water is not included on drink package!! All good activities/restaurants are limited so you need to book it in advance The pool area is so small Resturant have almost same menus

All in all it was an awesome cruise The ports of call were beautiful and we had a lot of fun The food was great, the entertainment was good The staff was wonderful The only thing missing were the sport courts - something to do that does not cost extra

Very relaxing cruise with 3 days at sea due to skipping the Norwegian Island because of weather condition. The ship is clean. Has a great observation deck on 15th floor offers snacks and drinks. Pool area on 16 is crowded, but is normal for the size ship. I would definitely cruise on Encore in the future.

Just very boring honestly. Not much to do besides watch soccer all day

We all loved our time on the Encore. We had a great time!

Food and bar choices are endless. Service on this ship is outstanding. The Haven gives you a small ship experience with all the benefits of a large ship. There are less cabins in the Haven than on most small ships (Regent, 0ceania, Silversea, Seabourn and Ritz Carlton)

During this cruise, we celebrated my dad's birthday. There were 5 of us total in 2 rooms. We had a fabulous time, and the food was amazing.

Overall the cruise was great. We both love to Cruise and love to Snorkel but we didn't see any excursion that wasnt an activity level of 3. It really is no the time of year for snorkeling so we really just cruised. We are going again on December 4 2022

First time cruising with NCL and honestly very different from Carnival. So used to the party ship atmosphere and got none of that on NCL but don’t get me wrong…it was a more controlled environment with a more mature crowd and we loved it. Totally love to cruise and now I have another option to use when deciding on my next cruise and what experience I want to have.

- Go for the scenery, the food, the adult entertainment. - Keep expectations low on the port visits. - Leave your kids at home. - Don't buy the onboard entertainment packages. They are a complete ripoff.

calling all parents with young kids. go with the disney cruise to alaska, do NOT sail on the encore. Alaska was beautiful and very worth it but this ship just plain sucks. you will be stressed and frustrated the whole time on your vacation. 1) this itinerary is terrible. you have a half day in juneau, a morning in ketchikan, and these are the 2 main towns that have interesting things to do. they switched icy strait for skagway due to a rockslide. glacier bay was awesome.victoria at 8pm is just stupid. 2) too many covid emails and not one of them was clear enough. If you are vaccinated you still need to have a negative antigen test to board the ship. we were stuck in a giant line up and then charged $75 pp for our covid tests. so many angry people in the lineup. our little one melted down after all the waiting. very unpleasant way to start the cruise. 3) the splash academy kids club was awesome, the staff was brilliant. but why have a kids club that isn’t consistently open, or worse off, has hours that require parents to be there with their kids?!?! we traveled in a large group with 7 kids under 10 and were shocked to see the pared back hours, and different hours every day. so let me get this straight, you can have your spa open at all hours, whether you are in port or not, but your kids club has to have limited hours when we are in port? the adults had to coordinate to watch each other’s kids instead of doing things together. There is nowhere else on this boat for kids to run around and enjoy themselves other than the pool area. we were so lucky and thankful to have some beautiful weather on our trip- if it had rained the whole time, my kids would have had serious cabin fever. how can you not even have a single open area, indoors or out, for kids to play for free? oh wait, becuuse you spent all that open area on the paid areas like a VR room where equipment is broken, a racetrack, laser tag, the haven, etc. the space on this boat was planned to take more money from you, not to give you a good cruising experience, and definitely not for young kids. 4) we were supposed to disembark at 7am, but we were delayed a full hour without any indication of how long the delay would be. I got called just as I was leaving my room by some asshole about a $37 charge that they could not attach to my name. I told them simply to charge it to my husband but they said we needed to come down to deck 6 for him to sign. I told him we didn’t have time to do that, and he barked the order to me again and hung up. if he had said we couldn’t leave the boat without resolving it we would have lined up at guest relations. also if i knew the lineup to leave the ship was going to be an hour, i would have sent my husband down to sign for this ridiculous charge. but how are we supposed to know if you don’t tell us anything?! we were stopped departing the boat, where we got separated. i went back to deal with the charge only to discover they could not take a new credit card where the guy was resolving issues. the same asshole who had called earlier barked at me again about getting my husband to sign and told me again to go down to deck 6 with huge lineups, even though i explained to him we have young kids and a 10am flight that the airline moved up by 2 hours, for which we were being let off the boat an hour late for (8am instead of 7am). why did he not plug in a machine to take one of my many other credit cards? My husband had disappeared down the ramp with our little ones and was headed to the taxis! i had to run to get him, he had to run back to sign, thankfully the security guy expedited the signature process and did not send him down into the belly of the boat into a massive lineup. we made our plane by a hair, we were the last to board. it was very stressful and all our kids were crying. it really marred a trip that we tried so hard to make the best of. shame on you norwegian for ending our cruise this way over something so stupid! i will never ever sail with you again!

What an amazing cruise! Alaska is amazing. I took so many pictures that just don't capture the majesty.

Great cruise at 70% capacity. I wish it stayed at 70%. The included dinning was better than the specialty dinning.

We really enjoyed everything about this cruise. First time haven area. It was awesome with all the perks.

This was my first cruise, ever. I am hooked. Very relaxing, well feed, did have a cocktail with 50 or 60 of my new best guys and gal pals. I had read of confrontations on ships but NCL did not have any of that nonsense. Lots of laughs, smiles, and generally nice people from all walks of life. The only odd times were when the ladies would undress me with their eyes. Did I mention I had cocktails so I might not have perceived everything as it was? It was a blast.
