Review summary

It was a great first cruise experience. We felt like we were treated like royalty everywhere on the ship. We have nothing to compare Norwegian too but you have set the bar pretty high.

It was crazy busy but everything was well organized and the line moved fairly quickly

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We were amazed at the selection and quality of the food offered at the restaurants and buffet. The service was always excellent, the menus would change so it was not always the same and the ambience was always delightful.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There was a lot to choose from for all ages. We used the jacuzzi’s, pool and even had a try in the Galaxy Pavilion.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We loved Kinky Boots, saw several entertaining comedians and a magic show.

AMAZING service from every employee we encountered. ALL. THE. TIME!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship always appeared very clean. The layout was overwhelming at first but after a day, we figured it out and loved the fact that we’re even outdoor bars on deck 8.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin Steward did an amazing job and the size was perfect for us. We enjoyed the balcony, even in the cold, foggy weather we encountered.

Ship tip

We only figured out on last day we could text each other using the free wifi and if you tune into the bridge camera, you can hear the captains announcements in your room.

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington Did not visit port

We live in WA and visit Seattle on a regular basis.

We did the Mendenhall/whale watching excursion. Loved the glacier and would have enjoyed having more time to explore Juneau after the whale boat ride.

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

We were there too long. The zip line was too expensive for a 3 minute ride so we choose another whale watching tour to kill some time. It had too many people on board to really enjoy it. I missed many viewings because I couldn’t see over everyone’s heads. The cannery history/museum was interesting but it was really just a tourist shopping spot.

LOVED this day. Appreciated the bow being accessible and the length of time and the information that the GBNP service offered.

KETCHIKAN (WARD COVE), ALASKA

We took a city tour and got off in town to explore on our own. The trolley was uncomfortable and the windows were fogged up so it was hard to see out. Maybe companies could invest in a product to keep windows from fogging🤷‍♀️. Would have loved more time in this port . Felt rushed.

Victoria, British Columbia

Night time city tour was informational and a nice touch to end the trip. Bus was comfortable and easy to see out of windows.

Disembarkation

Opted for the latest time to enjoy a nice last breakfast. Was amazed at how smoothly getting our bags and disembarkment was for a ship with over 3,000 people was.
