It was great overall. Would love to do another Norwegian cruise. Announcements were hard to hear and understand.

Our first meal in the Local wasn’t that good but everything else was great. Ate at Taste, Savor, Manhattan, Cafe m, Cagney’s and the Italian restaurant, forgot the name. Had snacks on the observation deck. Drinks at the local bar, Dylan was a great bartender.

Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Cabin was great. Enjoyed the larger bathroom and balcony. The beds were very comfortable. Our steward kept our room ship shape even with our stuff all over.
Went on our own. Bought city pass and saw so much. Did some day before and day after the cruise. They need to fix elevators and escalators in there stations and terminal. Not great when taking bags from airport to hotel and cruise terminal.
Did Mendhall Glacier and whale watching cruise. A little more time at the glacier would have been nice. Whale watching was fabulous. Saw humpback and killer whales and sea lions.
Booked our own tour. Ketchikan 4-1. Ava was our guide and she was wonderful. Saw so much, eagle and bear. Ava was a great naturalist with lots of information. Was one of the best tours.
Tour through the city wasn’t great, bus driver doesn’t like the people in government. But chart gardens were beautiful. The ship docking an hour later then original itinerary prevented us from having the full experience.
