The ship was well maintained and beautifully decorated. The staff were all very friendly and attentive to our every need.

I love the ship.

The layout of the ship was confusing. In order to access the main dining, The Venetia, we had to go to the 7th floor via elevator and walk down half a flight to get to the main entrance. In order to access the Internet cafe, it was necessary to go to the 8th deck, and walk UP a half flight. This was troublesome for people with mobility problems. The ship did have 11 restaurants. Four or five of them had surcharges, but these were minimal. The ship was very large, and the common areas were also large/

Booking with BJ's was great! Before we even left, our itinerary was changed due to problems with the ship's engines, which in turn prevented us from even going to one of our destinations because of some bad weather the boat could not go up to speed. Too many children, in which nobody was enforcing any of the rules for them.

Very clean, lots of different areas to go to, extremely friendly staff.

PERFECT CRUISE

This ship has taken a beating going in and out of NYC and sadly it shows. We were on this ship in 2004 as well and boy have things changed.

This cruise (Feb 18 to March1st) was our second on the Dawn, our 5th totally. After our first on the Dawn we would only consider Norwegian Cruise Line for future cruises, since (in our opinion) they are the absolute best in all areas of the cruise experience. Our sesond trip met all our expectations and as prove we booked again. We took advantage of the on board booking benefits and will be taking the next cruise on the new ship Norwegian Gem on Jan 26th, 2008.We already are looking forward to it.

This cruise has not been the best for me from the beginning. Changing of Itinerary at the last minute, I've been in 7 other cruises and this is my 2nd time with NCL. The 1st time with Norwegian Sky was more fun. My husband 33yrs old, my niece 18yrs old and my son 8yrs old were always going back to the stateroom to sleep, or watch tv, because the ship did not have much to do in those boring 2days at sea back and forth. The stateroom staff was not very fun either we never got our tower animal like we are used to see. It's a shame, because we take at least 1 cruise per year. We also bring other people with us, so I hope that you change your service for the best. Good luck

Large portion of staff sent to new ship and those remaining were undermaned and under trained.

Fortunatelly my husband, my son and myself had taken other cruises before and could compare the service. Unfortunatelly this one was not the best. We always tried 7 days, cruise and this time we decided to go for 11 days out of NY. We felt that this ship did not have enough for us to do inside the ship. The staff was a bit tired i guess. Everything that took place inside the ship was just business. sell sell sell!!! This is the 1st time that we have to wait to be seated at the restaurants available. The waiating time was from 20-30mins, more thatn twice.

The ship itself is nice, however the service tends to be either really really bad, or really good. Their isn't a lot of variety in their food and it seems like they are trying to force cruisers to spend extra to go to their specialty restaurants.

The Ship was very clean comfortable and organized. We received the highest quality of service from all staff members that was a plus.

IVE BEEN ON 18 CARNIVAL CRUISES AND 1 NCL. THERE WAS ALOT OF OLDER CRIUSERS ON THIS SHIP . THE CASINO WAS JUST BIG ENOUGH. WE THINK THE KIDS PROGRAM WAS MUCH BETTER ON CARNIVAL. THE RESTURANTS WERE SPREAD OUT ALL OVER THE SHIP. BUT ! EVEN THOUGH THIS SOUNDS NEGATIVE , WE HAD A GREAT TIME FOR THE MONEY, AND WE WOULD GO ON NCL AGAIN.

I thought the Dawn was nicely laid out and was clean ship. Her staff and crew are everything you would expect on a first class cruise. The only areas I was disappointed was the additional charges to use the indoor pool and the breakfast and lunch meals.

We have been very surprised to see the size of the ship, and how it was so easely operated by the crew.How beautifull it was and clean.The choise of meals,and the courtesy of the restaurants staff.Service was at all time no.1. And it is the same thing everywhere.

Great idea free style. There should be more restricted areas for smoking. The shows were excellent.Liquor bought on ship and in St. Thomas were not delivered to the room. You had to stand on line to pick it up.Liked leaving from New York.

this was our second time sailing with the dawn, we give it an overall rating of 6 out of ten due to the lack of activities, and also the prices on the alcohol was outrageous, drinks were very expensive and very very waterdown. they also need an inside pool for the cold and windy days that the outside pool in not available

The ship was very impressive, always clean, with staff & crew always highly visible and accessable to answer any questions. They were most informative about their surroundings, and also provided great recommendations when asked about shore excurions or shopping opportumities in the ports of call. Our room stewards, Jelvine & Phillip, attended to all of our daily needs, always with a smile, a kind comment & frequently with great humor. Although it was not expected, we did tip both of them at the completion of the cruise. The wait staff in the dining rooms, 95% of the time, were exceptional..very attentative, especially when dining in the specialty restaurants where you are billed a service fee ($10-$20/per person). Ship's crew were very alert & reacted promptly to numerous complaints about children running wild, unaccompanied by any adult supervision.

Well maintained ship, well trained and helpful crew. Excellent food with many choices. Painful embarkation - long wait in crowded terminal, easy debarkation - no waiting, luggage easy to locate.
