Review summary

The ship itself is nice, however the service tends to be either really really bad, or really good. Their isn't a lot of variety in their food and it seems like they are trying to force cruisers to spend extra to go to their specialty restaurants.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

st thomas is a favorite spot of mine and my husband's. there is plenty to do on the island, and everything is clean and attractive. i prefer to go to st. john for the beaches so it is unfortunate that the immigration process takes so long and the ship docks in havensight instead of charlotte amalie itself. it makes it more difficult to take a ferry to the other island, and since the only excursions they offer to st. john go to trunk bay, i didn't want to take the excursion.

Bridgetown, Barbados

we booked a beach excursion in barbados through the cruise line. they did not have a bus for us when we got to the end of the pier and we ended up waiting over twenty minutes for one to show up. the bus driver was rather unfriendly and the beach they took us to was not particularly nice. we ended up losing about an hour of the excursion due to the late bus and the driver not wanting to hit traffic on the way back.

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

we were only give four hours in this port so we weren't really able to see much. our excursion to jost was cancelled due to the very short amount of time we were there (7:30am-11:30am) in addition, because we were there so early, a lot of the shops had not even opened and who wants to go to a beach at 7:30? however, tortola is a beautiful island and well worth going to, if one has the time for an actual visit.

this is a lovely island and the people here were very friendly. it's great for people who want to be more adventurous as opposed to shopping or sitting on a beach
