Review summary

It was an interesting trip, that allowed us to see three new ports. The staff was excellent, attentive without being overbearing, and actually good with humor. The food was more that plentiful, and we experienced some of the specialty restaurants that we had not before. with varying degrees of success. The ship is older, and smaller than many of today's versions, but still enjoyed getting to experience many of the crew and passengers.

Embarkation

Excellent! Priority borading made this go smoothly. Taken right on the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
3.5 Stars. All of the food was good, the service was good, but hard to rate as excellent. had very uneven experiecences in the specialty restaurants,

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The quiet place hot tub was nice. Older ship with a small pool. Other activities were limited.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Nice job on the stage shows( production values were incredible) other performers were hit and miss, but troopers.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff was excellent, and appeared to enjoy being on board and working with passengers.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Older ship that is due for some refitting and freshening. Had an Atrium that made finding things that were mid-ship a challenge to remember which decks were not interuppted by the atrium

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Family Suite for just the two of us was great. Large, clean, but also ready for some freshening.

Ship tip

Smaller ship by today's standards, can seem crowded and noisy on sea days, but still enjoy smaller ships. If you want a place on deck during sea days....start early. :-0

Ports of call

Key West, Florida

Can't beat the Key Lime Pie....but feels more and more touristy

Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic

4 out of 5
First time visiting, and learning about history and culture was interesting. Took an excursion to help understand the place.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Would return to VI, but work to avoid the tourist traps to see more of the local culture and scenery Yes took and excursion, that really was short on info, and long on "hey toruist, spend some money here."

Oranjestad, Aruba

4 out of 5
First time visitor.Took a tour to discover more about Aruba, Saw Aloe, Rock Formations and The WIndward and leeward sides of this Island, with great natural beauty.

Willemstad, Curacao

4 out of 5
First time visitor. Did a discover tour that was great at showing off the UNESCO areas in the harbor, as well as the natural beauty of the island, while giving a great deal of history at the same time.

George Town, Grand Cayman

4 out of 5
Have visited here before, so chose a tour that would get out of the usual destinations. Got to visit the quieter east end of the island , had luch at a local restaurant. Our guide Jedd, was an excellent local guide.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Even Awesomer than the embarkation. Went through a facial recognition program with customs on board, and we were done.
