Review summary

I would not recommend this to anyone who has problems walking. Too many ports were tendered. Norwegian also had no consideration for its passengers when it booked outrageous times for the cheap airfare. I do not plan on using them again!

Embarkation

It took 12 hours to get to the ship because Norwegian booked the air for us! When we arrived at the ship, there was no one to help with suitcases or wheelchairs. For the first time ever, I had to wheel my suitcases onto the ship. Only when we got to security did someone take the wheelchair

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We loved the Aqua dining room and never had a wait for a table. Loved the pub and their chicken wings! The buffet was usually very crowded

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
There was always a lot going on

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The husband wife duo that performed in the atrium were outstanding

Children's Programs

We do not have children

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Shore excursion crew was very helpful

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin was typical for a cruise ship. The shower was bigger than on other ships. Balcony could use a paint job to hide the rust

Ship tip

If you are in a wheelchair..think twice! Four ports were tendered and one docked far from the terminal. It was not a wheelchair friendly cruise. We also did not have wheelchair help on either end of the cruise and we had to manage 2 suitcases and the chair!

Ports of call

My favorite New England seaport

Newport, Rhode Island Did not visit port

It was also tendered and that is hard for a person on a wheelchair

New York, New York

We took a cruise transfer. The driver dropped us off at airport arrivals instead of departures so we could not get baggage help!

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
We had wheelchair assistance so I did not think we also needed baggage help. But when we got to customs, we were told that was the end of our help. We again had to manage 2 suitcases and a wheelchair!

Sadly, the new antagonistic management techniques NCL seems to be implementing and the company's "bait and switch" airfare scheme is going to hurt them profusely when they screw over the wrong Attorney who files a class action suit over their claims that there are "no seats into YQB." We tried to get some relief over 5 weeks and more than 6 hours on the phone with NO RESPONSE from management ever. We finally confronted the last customer "service" agent when he quoted the company line. We pointed out that we had 4 windows open on 4 different websites with 4 different Airlines from 4 different cities, all with wide open planes. Our only explanation was that it was because they want to sell their expensive shuttle from Montreal. Even the ship's comedian made jokes about NCLs Air Department it's so laughable. Sadly, if you make the critical error of using one of NCL's air promotions into "Quebec City" (YQB), the joke will be on you. It's possible it's different for other itineraries. We'll never know, as we gave up trying to reason with unreasonable people, wrote off the airfare as a loss and bought our own tickets to YQB, where we had a marvelous time. It was definitely worth letting NCL get away with stealing the $200 we enjoyed the city so much.
