Review summary

Loved this cruise ... worth every penny. The staff was exceptional. My only complaints:

1. my stateroom had some kind of "leak", and the room had an unpleasant odor for the last week of the cruise.

2. Within the first week the ship ran out of Pinot Grigio.

Our stateroom had a terrible odor; our steward explained it as some sort of leak. Otherwise we were very happy with the shiny polished look of the ship.

Our stateroom had a terrible odor one week into the cruise. Smelled like dead ocean or seaweed. Our steward explained it as a some sort of leak. He did his best to repair the situation and it seemed to improve after that. Otherwise the room was well maintained, and if we wanted something or needed something, our steward (Rogel) was right on top of it.

Ship tip

Try your best to get a outside stateroom (with window). The inside staterooms are understandably pitch dark; you could sleep until 11:00 am and not have any clue how late it was.

Get a cab to a real beach. We went to one that was supposedly 10 minutes on foot ... it was actually 25 minutes and then the "beach" turned out to be a small cement jetty.
