Amazing by tmc0727

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Breakaway / Destination: Bermuda

Best cruise ever! 1500 passengers and no kids under 12. Every thing from start to finish was amazing. Wish I could go again before capacity and unvaccinated rules change.

Best ship ever by Janedamico

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Norwegian Breakaway

First time on NCL the staff was excellent, professional and very friendly. Free style was very easy to do. NCL needed more shows at night. The comedian and magician were terrific. We felt very safe . The ship staff was always cleaning. We will be booking a NCL cruise again.

Good cruise...except for the Coronovirus us threat by Davidscruise2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Breakaway / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was the last cruise before the industry suspended sailings due to the Coronovirus. NCL handled that well and we will sail with them again!

Not the best, but we had fun by kip213

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Breakaway

This cruise was definitely not my favorite. We had really bad weather for the first 3 days, wind and big swells. Meant you couldn't really go outside so you had to stay inside and explore. We missed Great Stirrup Cay because it was unsafe for the tenders. We also had Vibe passes but were not able to use it at the beginning because it was closed due to the weather. All of that is beyond Norwegian's control and we knew that. Once the weather cleared up, we did enjoy ourselves more. Tendering process for both Grand Cayman and Cozumel was pretty dreadful. Very slow and unorganized. Partly Norwegian, partly the port of Cozumel. Due to COVID-19 there were healthy practices in place throughout the ship, like no self serve in the buffet, but none of it bothered us or took away from the cruise. Overall, we made the best of our trip, enjoyed lots of competitive games of darts, drinks, food and would recommend the ship and itinerary to anyone.

Upsetting, lied to sickness by raynats

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Breakaway / Destination: Caribbean - Western

In quarantine because of sickness on ship. I am sick waiting for test for virus. Lied to and not told about sickness on ship. Very upset with company. Do not feel like they were honest with what is going on in the United States. Told only keeping ship clean.

First time NCL by hutch1nson

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Breakaway

Ok/good but not great - freestyle seems to mean scruffy to Americans. Ship is overcrowded compared to other ships I’ve been on. Nothing is spectacular about Breakaway - most other ships seem to have at least one wow factor. Very focused on upselling. NCL are handling the Coronavirus situation quite well, additional hygiene measures seemed to work well but means extra queuing. NCL seem like 3rd class cruise line in ports, having to tender where others dock and tendering is a shambles - 2hr queues to get off and on!

Ended up being a Nightmare Cruise by mmcmillian

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Norwegian Breakaway / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Be real with your guest! This corona virus is serious and if we knew that someone on this ship was sick we could have taken extra precautions, now we are home hoping we don’t get sick! Will never sail Norwegian again! We should get a full refund for this excuse of a trip. Staff did all they could

The perfect cruise... by MrBucketlist

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Breakaway

This cruise was fantastic and the best cruise I've ever been on. I did a full video review on YouTube because it's way too much to type on here but just know I enjoyed every second. The food, activities, ports and service was all up to par. For my review search MrBucketlist Norwegian Breakaway to see why I thought this was the perfect cruise

Breakaway- Smooth Cruise by ladyvolsbfan

Overall a great cruise. Did not go to Great Stirrup Cay because of rough seas. Weather was great once we got South of Florida. Breakaway is a great ship with an outstanding staff.

Cruise on the Norwegian Breakaway, February 29th thru March 7. by bsulfridge

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Breakaway

This was a great cruise. The highlights was that the food was the best cruise food we have had. The staff was great. Nic our room steward was wonderfull. The ship was too big for our liking. It made all the public areas feel small like the pool deck. Also, they didn't enforce their no chair saving, but what cruise does, none I have been on. The seas the first two days were rocky and the weather was chilly, but we were on the open ocean. This resulted in missing Great Stirup Cay. I was disappointed to learn the we would tender to Cozumel, but a ship cancelled there and we were able to dock at a Carnival berth. I hate to hear the has been so much mass hysteria over caronavirus. Overall this was a great cruise, just wish it was more family appropriate.

We all regret going. by Gypsea7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Norwegian Breakaway / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This will be short.....Cancel or rebook for a later date. Unfortunately we were not offered to only passengers a week later could. You will regret going with what is going on, even if you loose your money just cancel. They are not scanning passengers as they claim. No temps are being taken. People with cold symptoms coughing all over the place aloud to board. I wish I had never went. Just a short view of what was going on onboard...vomit all over the elevators they smelled badly even after there supposed cleaning. Coughing people everywhere! People fighting onboard. Same food being served everyday even in main dining rooms. How many times can one rename and eat beef stew and mashed potatoes! Nasty hotdogs, cold burgers and the same Indian food reheated everyday! I was surprised by this as our last sailing on NCL the food was great .

Better. Definitely better than the Epic. by dgd32862

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Breakaway / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The NCL Breakaway and this eastern Caribbean cruise was much better than the one we took on the Epic last year. Very few issues this cruise, and we had a great time. The food was wonderful, the entertainment was great, and the amenities on the ship were fine. Our first visit to Tortola probably won't be our last one; it's a beautiful island. Add extra time to your embarkation expectation due to the Coronovirus issue.

Great cruise, terrible ship layout by sltrawick

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Breakaway / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Great cruise. Rough seas, so shows, pool and slides were canceled or closed. But that’s ok. We had a great time. Absolutely do the Sky Bar. So cool and so much fun. My only complaint would be the layout of the ship. Other then that, awesome cruise

Waste of money by Manning05

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Breakaway / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The whole cruise was laid out horriably. There was not a lot of options for people with GI issues. All shows was booked when we got on board. The staff does not care about there guest. We were sitting on the balcony & they were cleaning the balcony above us. They poured cleaner all over us. THey offered to wash our clothes, but was told that was all that would be offered. We were dealt with rudely. My husband went to clinic, because his ear was clogged. They said it was 130 to see a dr to get peroxide.
