Review summary

Great cruise. Rough seas, so shows, pool and slides were canceled or closed. But that’s ok. We had a great time. Absolutely do the Sky Bar. So cool and so much fun. My only complaint would be the layout of the ship. Other then that, awesome cruise

Embarkation

4 out of 5
I didn’t like the fact that you didn’t get to choose a time to check in. All my cruises thus far I was able to choose. This one, it just said arrive 2 hours before. Well you can imagine, a bit crazy. Also the women who was taking our “group” card was very rude.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food and drinks were amazing. We tried specialty dining for the first time. Cagneys was my favorite. Did not care for the French or Italian place. Food was so-so.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
All the slides and rope courses were closed for most of our cruise as the water and wind were rough. The pool was closed on our sea days as well

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Loved, loved, loved the entertainment. Six was an amazing show as well as Switch in Syds Poorhouse. Syds Pourhouse was entirely too small for the amount of people on the ship. Standing room only as the seats were taken. Not enough seating

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was amazing

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
I’m giving it a 3 because of the layout of the ship. It was all jam packed into 2 decks. You had to walk through the smoky casino to get to the atrium. Couldn’t really walk outside as they didn’t have a lot of area to walk around. The pool layout was not good either. You had the pool and bar, then most of the seating was up on another level

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Jose was our room steward and he did a fantastic This was our first balcony as we always get an inside room. It was nice to sit out on the balcony and have coffee in the morning

Ship tip

Bring a travel mug. The cups and coffee cups are way too small

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

Great parking and signage was great as well telling us where to go

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

Signage not so good to tell you were to go.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Loved! We only had a 1/2 day here. So we didn’t get to go shopping. Next time

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

My favorite. Love that you can relax, eat and drink!

Disembarkation

Terrible. No signage on where to go. Asked several crew members and they all gave me wrong directions.

Thanks for sharing your cruise.

And that's how you do it! 👏 Spoiled brats need somebody else to organize, schedule and then serve up their great vacation on a silver platter with no effort of their own.

I’ve heard La Cucina often compared to Olive Garden (which I don’t like) so never tried it. We personally loved Cagney’s and Moderno. Kind of disappointed there’s no Moderno on the Encore but we are excited to try Q and Onda!

When you went on the boat or before, were you worried about the virus? I’m leaving this Saturday for this ship and I’m not sure about it.

Im new to cruising. I just saw that a tender is needed at Great Stirrup Cay, how was your experience with this? Did you have to wait all day or are tickets available?
