Overall, I really enjoyed this cruise. It was laid back and fun. They did run out of my husband's beer on the 2nd day and the blackjack tables had a high minimum in our opinion, but we had a blast and really enjoyed ourselves.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation was a breeze. Other than my husband losing his phone in his own bag. We got to the port fairly early around 11 and there were lines at both security and the check in desk but they moved quickly and we boarded as soon as we got our cards.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The main dining rooms were excellent. The buffet was not as good as I remembered it on previous cruises, although breakfast was always excellent at the buffet with fresh omelets. For our dining pass, we ate at Moderno, Tappenaki, and the Italian restaurant. I was not trilled with the Italian restaurant, but Moderno and Tappenaki are well worth it in my opinion. I also ate lunch at Margaritaville and the was awesome. They have the best drinks at this bar, 5 O'clock somewhere and the zombie were my go to drinks. Most of the bars across the ship were average in service, except for Spice H2O, Lawrence up there was AWESOME!
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
We did not participate in many of the on board activities, but we did get up the courage to do the rope course and plank. That was fun and nerve racking but I would do that again. The main pool area is cramped not alot of space right by the pools and the smoking section is cramped. We did find Spice H2O to be the perfect place to hang out. You can smoke up there, its adult only most of the day and the bar was awesome. The SPA was heavenly and I highly recommend the thermal spa package. We were disappointed that the lowest blackjack table was 10 dollar minimum.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
We did not see any shows, the shows did not interest us. We did like the DJ in Bliss and the 80s party.
Children's Programs
Did not travel with children.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Our room steward was great always on top of cleaning our room. I was disappointed that we did not get any towel animals though.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship was clean and we liked the design. Easy to find and get to everything.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Our SPA balcony was a good size, the balcony was a bit small, and the bathroom was a good size. Our room did not have the shave bar that I thought came with these type rooms. I do not believe I will get another forward cabin though, I prefer Aft cabins as they are closer to the buffet and most bars.
Ship tip
Check out Spice H2O early, it is a great place to hang out. Also, the thermal spa is worth the money.
We took the Rebel Yell out to White Bay and Soggy Dollar Bar. We had a blast, they have games and bars all on the beach and we had a blast. I recommend this excursion and will probably do that again if we go back here. I wish we had more time.
We did a snorkel tour (Twice as Nice on the Stars and Stripes) and really enjoyed our trip. This snorkel trip include two stops. First was to a sunken ship which was really cool to see, then we moved around the island and swam with some sea turtles and the small reef there. This trip hit 3 of the most common reasons to snorkel. We did not have time to really see the port as we did not have a full day at this port. We had to walk the length of 3 huge cruise ships to get to our catamaran, and the shops were not along this path.
This is NCLs private island, and since the food and drinks were included I gave them 4 stars. It is a nice little island, but pales in comparison to Royal Caribbeans island which is within view of the beach. We had a good time swimming around the bay and the beach was clean but rocky. We did get snorkel equipment and did a little snorkeling but there is not much to see here.
We chose to leave as one of the last groups and it went smooth we did stand in line and had to walk the maze to get off the ship but it was smooth and did not take long.
