Review summary

I know this review is very positive. Of course there is no perfect cruise. It was not perfect every second of the week. There were a few encounters along the way that were not pleasant. My wife and I along with the other couple we traveled with simply refuse to have a bad time on our vacation. We look past the little things and focus on the things that we really enjoy. This really was a wonderful cruise overall and I would get on the ship again next week if I could afford it.

Fastest we have gotten aboard in 9 cruises.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Main dining room was good except for one of my wife’s meals. She had steak strips with chimichurri sauce. It was not good at all. We also ate at Le Bistro, it was awesome!

Moderno Churrascaria

Excellent! We loved it.

Teppanyaki

Was as good as any hibachi grill we have been to.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Did the thermal spa for the first time. We enjoyed it very much and it was never over crowded. We will do it again. Water slides were the real deal as well as the ropes course.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Six was well done but not my cup of tea. Burn the floor was amazing! This was the 2nd. Ship we have seen this show. The best show on the ship though is is Syd’s Pour house!! The Pour House Band is the best rock cover band I have ever seen. Get there early and go on your 1st night before the word gets out.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Overall very good. The bartenders were doing their best to keep up. I believe they are a little understaffed for the amount of free at sea participants. There was one bartender “Rakin” , he is in the Atrium. Rakin was probably the best employee on the ship. If you get a chance tell him Paul and David said hello and ask him to show you his cork trick. Servers and room steward dis a good job as well.

Cabin / Stateroom

Had a balcony mid ship. We loved it. Cozy but organized.

Ship tip

Book your shows and restaurants before you get on the ship. Earlier the better. If the online app won’t let you then call the CruiseLine and ask for help.

Ports of call

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

5 out of 5
I was surprised how much I liked the private island. We brought our own snorkel gear and had a great time. We saw more fish here than anywhere else we have ever been including Cozumel. I bet we saw more than 100 different species!

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

5 out of 5
Loved the baths and loved the town! Very low pressure.

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5
The new port is very easy to navigate.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
Saw lots of turtles on our snorkel tour. I wish it was not such a short stop. We were only there about 6 hours.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
This was a little deceiving. The line on the ship to get off was pretty long however, the way the check your documents there is no need to go through customs. When you take into account there is no hassle with the customs line the overall process is faster.

Can you tell me who you used for your excursions? We booked super last minute (within last 2 weeks) and leave on Saturday. We go to all the same ones you went too. Thanks in advance.
