Not impressed by the ship or staff. An attitude adjustment or better management could have completely changed our experience. Overall, a little disappointed in our honeymoon experience. Will cruise again, but not on Breakaway.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Quick process, which we appreciated; however, the port staff certainly were not very friendly
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Service and food were either excellent or much to be desired. Ocean Blue was amazing, as was the hibachi grill. Main dining rooms had pretty good food, but received excellent service some nights— other nights the maitre’d came to wait on us because the waitress went MIA.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Only one pool for 4,000 people? Poorly planned. Too crowded and often had things floating in it.

Service and Staff
2 out of 5
Only very few staff went out of their way to make an exceptional impression. Those few were amazing! Unfortunately, the majority of the staff made you feel like an inconvenience. Bars were woefully understaffed. Saw our room steward maybe three times in passing. Room was clean, but nothing exceptional there.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Most spaces were clean, but public bathrooms left much to be desired.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Size—what you’d expect. Balcony—very small. Clean, but would have appreciated clean sheets at least mid week. Most cruisers go on and on about the personal service from their steward (knowing you by name, etc.)—we saw ours maybe three times in passing.
Ship tip
We will cruise again, but not sold on Norwegian or this ship.
Beach was beautiful, but very rocky. Food was pretty darn good, but again, bar service (and service in general from staff) left much to be desired. Tender process was HORRIBLE. Most time was wasted getting to and from island.
If needed, yes, I would. Bed got a little sandy from beach excursions, and would have been nice to have clean sheets. Not a deal breaker, but would have been nice to return to after a long, hot day. We actually tried to call and make that specific request, but could never reach our steward via phone.
