For a ship with 4000 people on board this was a small venue

Too hot, no AC, overcrowded, couldn't get a seat even for reserved show as the seats are not assigned

Dark wood floors. Exposed brick. Legends of decades past hanging on the walls. From the moment you step inside, you’ll feel you’re in a swingin’ New York City jazz club. Whether... you’re watching a five-piece performance inside or sitting outside on The Waterfront enjoying a drink, the ocean breeze and the cool sounds, this is the place for some of the best live jazz and blues music you’ll hear at sea. more

I'm very sad that Charlie Love is gone and the rock band that was in his place was not that good. The Jazz club was my favorite so now I really don't have a favorite spot.

Spice H2O is actually a nice expansive adult area at the back of the ship. The Latino band playing there on multiple occasions was good. The biggest downside was that for unknown reasons, this area... was always a ghost town with less than 10 people there. It was likely too hard for many people to locate. Read More Read Full Review

Spiegel Tent

3 out of 5 (2 Reviews)

"The venue is the Spiegel Tent, a room especially created for this show. Several decks high, the ceiling looks like a circus tent. Below that is a balcony level where guests can... gaze down at the performance or, in the case of the fliers, watch the performance at eye level. On the ground level, there are booths along the room''s perimeter. Then, under the tent itself, there are long tables that radiate towards the center of the room. The center is where most of the action occurs. The room is spectacularly lit which adds to the feeling of fantasy." more

Besides the creepy monkey at the door, the biggest problem with this place is the seating and overall design. Tables are placed in rows coming out from the center of the semi-circular shaped room. T... he chairs closest to center are shoved against table next to them, and you really can't get in and out. For chairs further back in the rows away from center and for the booth tables around the edge, you have poor views of the show as large circular columns are all throughout the room, which obstruct the view. For the booth tables, you basically have to eat in the dark, almost pitch blackness. Read More Read Full Review

This rating is based on how they use it. This should only be used for the game shows and singers, when they had lectures or movies there it is awful as there is too much noise (in the case of the lec... ture) or light (in the case of the movie.) Read More Read Full Review

Although a vast improvement over the "Away" ship which had a few paperbacks in the Malting bar, they seem to have a decent amount of books but the major flaw is that the books are only accessible two... hours a day unlike many other cruise ships who have a honor system and the day I was in the library at the allotted time and it was still closed, a woman told me that no one showed up at the other time, fortunately a worker came by and I told him that they needed to open it up and he came back with the key. Carnival to it's credit has more staff for longer library hours by using their underused dancers (who seem to resent it-LOL) What's also frustrating was that there was a shelf with old magazines and paperbacks that people left behind and THAT was locked up.
