Review summary

Glad we went but wouldn't go again. Staff, rooms, and food were great but the crowds and noise made it hard to enjoy. Observation deck was great if you went early. Too many people saving seats and sleeping when others could use the spot to enjoy the scenery.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Had priority boarding and it was worth the money.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food and staff were good but they need to open the Manhattan for lunch as everything was crowded

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
A few of the activities in the atrium. Should have more options and more some to the theatre as it was too loud and not enough seating.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The shows were excellent with the exception of the Magician. Horrible.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was friendly and helpful

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Elevators "Always" packed. Clean and well maintained but need areas that are quiet.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Been in bigger balcony staterooms but overall the room was clean and the bed comfortable.

Ship tip

Patience. Lots of rude foreigners and crowds due to the weather.

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

Juneau, Alaska

Whale excursion-Wonderful Shopping-more than enough selection

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
Private van tour-Great, saw a lot of area and got some great pictures. Shopping-more than enough selection Food/drink-expensive but good

Cruise Glacier Bay

5 out of 5
LOVED Glacier Bay. Good weather and Beautiful scenery. Made the whole trip

KETCHIKAN (WARD COVE), ALASKA

4 out of 5
Private van tour. Not a lot to see and Creek street is over rated. Little shopping and a short port time. Didn't have to take the shuttle but from what we heard and saw it was crazy.

Victoria, British Columbia

1 out of 5
Too short of a port time and nothing to walk to. Unbelievable lines to get on a bus. Waste of an evening or port.

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
Had priority disembarkation but no direction. Just happened to an area that got us off the ship but not worth the extra money.

They really should have employees go around the Observation Lounge and address the all-day sleepers and the ones abusing the seat-saving. The Observation Lounge isn't supposed to be a sleepy homeless camp for folks trying to escape their kids or their inside cabins.

Any cruise that begins and ends in the US requires one international port. It would make sense if they made Victoria a second port rather than the last. If you want more time in Victoria than embark from Vancouver. You'll arrive in the AM and leave in the PM.
