Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Excellent salmon bagels, daily fish assortment and great gluten free options. I just wish they labeled the buffet food so I didn't have to ask.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Indoor pool in the spa was $300. Worth it. Met nice ladies there. The singles lounge was a nice place to make friends. Best spa!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The shows were excellent, the 80s theme night fantastic, the musicians were very talented.really enjoyed it so much that I stayed on the ship in Victoria.

Children's Programs

Alaska would have bored my kid so I did not bring him.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Most of the staff were 4-5 stars, however, I would come back from excursions and my room was not cleaned. They only cleaned about 3-4 pm when I was trying to get ready for dinner. Only cleaned once a day. Many other passengers had same complaints so it wasn't just my deck.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I was 5fwd. It was easy assess to gangway, and entertainment, but the food and spa were easy to access from aft or cut through deck 5. This was a beautiful ship , especially if you like Hollywood glam and modern art. The best selection of art I've seen. Solos are on deck 10.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
King, lots of shelves, inside , quiet, hot shower, good dehumidifier in bathroom to dry out clothes and swimsuits. TV did not update time change and weather report was limited. Nice mini fridge. I asked for an extra blanket. Comfy pillows. Pretty carpet. I wish I had brought a lighted magnifying mirror to put my makeup on bc it wasn't bright enough for makeup but was great lighting for dressing.

Ship tip

Don't miss the jersey boys. Book reservation now.

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

Whale watch in WA.at Island Adventures try flora vegan gf in the airport or in Seattle near the botanical gardens. Visit South center mall for shopping and food. You need a full day for mount rainier. Leavenworth is a fun German town in the foothills. Nice day trip. Avoid pikes place.

Sitka, Alaska

Lots of eagles are released here. I spotted 5 a long the handicap friendly path to totem park. The town is charming to shop in. Trying king crab was less expensive than in Ketchikan.the mountains and waterfalls are beautiful.

Juneau, Alaska

My favorite port in AK so far. I'd love to come back bc there is so much to do. I took the blue bus to mendenhal glacier park and hiked 2.5 miles. But the overlook and visitor center have great views and are AD Accessible. There is an elevator . I don't recommend the ramp. Bus plus park pas $50. Tours are 3-6 times that. If you have the budget for a flight or the time for more, please take me with you, lol.

CRUISE ENDICOTT ARM & DAWES GLACIER

Was beautiful, but I never saw the glacier. There was rain, fog, and the ship did not narrarate.the icebergs were pretty. Couldn't find a seat on observation deck

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

I took the gondola to the cannery. Very photogenic and had a great time on the shore photographing eagles and scenery. I wish I did the crab feast, but I hiked back to the dock enjoying the old grove forest and saw an eagles nest. It was low key, relaxing but not very accessible for wheelchairs.or lido so stood outside in the cold rain. I took the whale tour here. Saw 5-6 whales before the captain decided to stop. There was NO narration, I had no idea which side of the ship to stand on or where to look, He did not explain anything about behavior or species. Only safety brief. There were no snacks or coffee offered. Do your whale tour somewhere else. These people hate their job

KETCHIKAN (WARD COVE), ALASKA

I reserved this day to eat a crab feast and shop. There were 5-6 ships in port and we had the farthest dock. Waited in rain to be bussed downtown. Where 20,000+ people were crowding the streets. After an hour of waiting for a table and a glass of water, I abandoned my chance at a crab lunch, and headed out to shop. The line for the shuttle was so long, I did not have time to shop. There were some good bargains I saw at a glance but the lines were massive so I went to the ship. NY is less hectic on a Monday. I wasn't up for it.

Victoria, British Columbia Did not visit port

Stayed on ship at spa

They will call you prior to the time on your tags so make sure to eat early. If going to airport it's $40/ bag for them to store it so you can site see. They will take it from ship to airport. Hint: if you are trying to get a shuttle, DONOT book ahead of time. The line was insane. But if you just step out of the terminal there are cabs and shuttles for the same price . They just don't have the prepaid contact with NCL.
