Review summary

Apparently I was on a different ship to most people writing crappy reviews! I am extremely picky and hard to please, but I went with a "Lowered Expectations" attitude and was amazed how different our experience was to some of the reviews. Most people say they will not go back, however I will and I hope that if you are going on the Bliss you read this review and take all the reviews with a grain of salt.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very fast embarkation, you must reserve your time to check in during the online check in process to guarantee early arrival and purchase the "Priority Access" pass.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Teppenyaki was amazing! The cooks were out of control in a fun good way, it was loud and fun! just do it! The mexican restaurant was very disappointing and I was suprised at the quality of the food was so bad for a speciality restaurant. Le Bistro was absolutely amazing! This French Speciality restaurant had some of the best food I have ever tasted. I highly recomend "Le Bistro". We ate at Savor and it was not great and the service was very slow (even for main dining). We did not go back. The shocker out of the entire cruise was the buffet, I despise buffet, but let me tell you a little secret, the Bliss has some of the best Indian Food you will find! I literally camped out out the Indian Food station during the cruise and made friends with the Indian Chefs who will make you "Garlic Nann" if you smile. My wife was shocked that I loved the buffet, the other buffer food was good also. The Bliss was 100% better quality and selection versus my experience on RCCL buffet, however, I would say that RCCL main dining is superior.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Go Carts were fun, be sure to reserve right when you board otherwise spots will fill up. Observation lounge was amazing!

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Not a fan of musicals so didn't really enjoy the show 6, but I do appreciate the talented performers. The comedian was awesome!

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
This is interesting to me, I would say that most staff were awesome, but there were a few that were pretty pissed off. We had a handful of bar staff that did not want to be their while many others were awesome. The Guest Services staff really need to go home and have their own vacation, they were not helpful nor understanding of any situation.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I love the decor on the bliss, the layout is different, its pretty compartmentalized but very nice and modern. I was not a fan of the Atrium area at all, having Guest Services next to the Atrium is not a great design when an event is occurring and your trying to have a conversation with guest services and yelling so they can hear you. Ok, I am not going to lie, The observation lounge is my absolute favorite public space of any ship! You get this instant calm as you enter and its just a whole other level of relaxation (The only issue I had was some fellow passengers who felt the needed to have a phone call on speakerphone so we could all here how little scotty their dog was doing! People! seriously take your call outside and let me relax in piece (Rant over).

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Had a mid ship balcony cabin on deck 12 which was great, a little smaller in general than RCC and Princess, but perfect for two people. The bathrooms were bigger!

Ship tip

Bliss is a planners ship, if you dont reserve in advance for dining you will regret it and miss the best dining times. What you cant book early online, be sure to get on the ship first thing so you can reserve comedy shows, go carts and other reservations.

I live close by so its the norm.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Cabo has changed a lot, I think its gotten way to commercial and lost its roots a little.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Amazing, was out of the cabin and in our vehicle in under 15 minutes. Be sure to choose "Self Assist" and carry your luggage to avoid long lines.
