Review summary

Overall it was a very relaxing and enjoyable cruise. Food was good. The service was great. The ship was impeccably maintained. I’m looking forward to another cruise with NCL someday.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Took awhile to get through all the testing, but they kept things moving fairly smoothly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Ocean Blue and Le Bistro were excellent. Ate in Savor several times. The food was good, better than I had been expecting. The staff in Savor were exceptional. The Local was not bad. Good for lunch. The Garden buffet was much better than I had expected, though I had low expectations for a buffet. But wound up eating several meals there.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The go-cart track was a lot of fun. As was the laser tag. Spent a lot of time at the pool because it’s hard to get our 9 yo son out of the water. He enjoyed playing with other kids in the splash area, or swimming in the pool. The tube slide was fun, and pretty much never a wait.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Jersey Boys was fun, but some of the performers didn’t have the voice necessary for the songs. The Magician was OK, did some good illusions. Saw the Beatles tribute band play the last night show in the theater, which was fun.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
Didn’t have a children’s program due to COVID. Did let younger kids come with a parent to the teen club to play games.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Restaurant staff, the room steward, guest services, bartenders, most all the staff we interacted with were outstanding. Some of the best and most attentive service I’ve experienced.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I like the ship interior design, very understated modern and sophisticated. The ship was spotless, very well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Three of us were very comfortable. The bathroom was very spacious, surprisingly so for a ship. Room design very simple and sophisticated. Slept very well, not disturbed by any noises despite being directly under the pool deck.
