Review summary

This cruise was excellent !! The ship was beautiful and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Restaurants were great. It was sunny all week which was lucky because I was told it rained the whole week before. I would have never known there was 4,000 people on this ship. I was slightly worried because of a few reviews which were negative but have decided that you can't really go by those because some people are just never happy with anything...

Embarkation

Got to terminal at 10:30 am , no line, right into waiting area, given number 9 for embarkation, waited maybe 20 min for them to start calling group numbers and walked right on to ship

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
All specialty dining rooms were great!! Main dining room Taste was also awesome. Minimal to no waiting time with reservation. Buffet was just that a buffet. Ship was full so 4,000 passengers but no problem finding a table at the buffet

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
DIdn't do a lot of the activities but the Spa was great, we purchased the thermal spa which was beautiful but didn't use it as much as I would have liked. Was not crowded at all. Nice Casino (nonsmoking) but they did have a separate casino room with doors if you smoke

Service and Staff

Everyone was really friendly and would acknowledge you by name once they knew you

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Beautiful ship, no problem with elevators or crowded walkways. I would have never known there was 4,000 people on this boat except when disembarking at the different ports and then you had people trying to cut the line to get off the ship. If you had a excursion that was booked with the ship though they would have you meet in a different area and get you off first if it was an early excursion. I thought that was a great idea

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was plenty big enough for 2 with a lot of storage and plenty of hangers in the closet. I would suggest bringing some lysol, febreze or sachets for the drawers and closet as my clothes smelled musty after being in the storage for a couple days

Ship tip

Book specialty dinners before you go if you like to eat at a certain time, a lot of them were sold out but you can find out availability on touch screens located around the ship,

Didn't have a tour booked here but when we got off the boat there was an area offering tours by car instead of bus. It was $80.00 per person for 3.5 hr tour in a 1964 open convertible with blankets provided. The man was a local guy who served in the local Coast Guard for 25 yrs and knew tons of facts about the area. He showed us all around the area, stopped if we wanted to take pictures. Great tour

Called our color and we walked right off the boat ...grabbed our luggage...got in line for customs. The line was long but moved pretty quickly. They really need redo the pickup area though. Your right downtown and the traffic is terrible. There is barely anywhere for cars, shuttles and buses to pull over to pick up people and it's really congested. Make sure you book your flight late enough that your not in a frenzy to get out of the port
