Review summary

Loved Alaska! Nice weather with a few rainy days. Not enough entertainment or booking times. The activities you have to pay extra. Be prepared to be bombarded to buy acupuncture, Botox, massage, facials, etc etc. Also, NOT enough times at the ports. It would have been nice to explore the towns.

Embarkation

It was confusing. Very disorganized when you have no idea where to go.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

When we booked our cruise we were told we had the top package. We found out we could not get top shelf or water bottles.

Taste Restaurant - Main Dining Room

It was great! Don’t care to sit by people with kids when it’s only 2 of us. Can’t you give me a table in the corner.

Atrium Bar

4 out of 5

You are able to watch the shows, (if the have one you like) but not enough sitting. They had to put folding chairs for people to sit.

Onboard Activities

Why have activities on a cruise ship (car racing) and not only do you have to pay for it, but it’s completely booked up.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
If you don’t reserve your spot right away to see a show. You will be out of luck. They had entertainment in the Atrium with NOT enough sitting. It was the first cruise where we didn’t have anything planned.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Everyone was extremely friendly. The only thing is when you want a drink some of bartenders don’t even acknowledge your sitting and sitting.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The Bliss is beautiful and very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
It was comfortable and clean. A hammock would have been awesome in the balcony.

Ship tip

If you want to see a show book it as soon as you board or before. If your looking for a relaxing cruise then go on the Bliss.

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

Be careful when your booking a hotel. They have great rating and look amazing. Then you get there and it’s super old and cramped. Plus, you have to pay for breakfast you get free at any Holiday Inn, Hilton etc etc Another thing we learned it’s expensive to get around. Uber app is the best you can rent motorized bikes that take you everywhere. Don’t use taxis!

Cruise Inside Passage, Alaska

It was okay. All entertainment was booked up, so just walked around. I like to shop, but not much on the Bliss.

Juneau, Alaska

We did the Glaziers and Salmon bake. Loved the excursion, but had limited time to shop and look around. Need longer stays on port.

Skagway, Alaska

Did the railroad passage. It was beautiful but pricy. The only port we had plenty of time for excursion, and time to shop.

Cruise Glacier Bay

5 out of 5
Beautiful. It was packed everywhere to view both sides of the glaziers, but the boat does turn so you can view both parts.

Ketchikan, Alaska

Please! Go on the crab fest excursion. It was totally worth it. The drivers were extremely knowledgeable and funny. The only complaint is we did NOT have time to look around town. Shopping was less than 20 minutes. Needed way more time at that port. Excursion took 4 hours that was not including the drive out there.

Victoria, British Columbia

Again, beautiful port. No excursion since we got there at 7pm. A lot of places were closed.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
It was super fast and easy.
