Bliss is a great ship but it has its issues. You need to plan, book things early. Do not count on the Cruise Staff for entertainment, you need to entertain yourselves, unless you like trivia 3 times a day for 7 days.
Go to the Specialty dining it is worth it. Buffet food is real good, main dining room food is good, but they need to expand the menu a bit. More themed nights.
I would the cruise again.
Embarkation

Quick, make sure you do the online check in and bring the cruise docs. You will be on the ship in no time.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The food was good, some great. The issue here with the Bliss is the seating in the buffet. There is not enough. With 4,100 people on board they have seating for 2,500. So on those days were you know everyone will be at the buffet, go early and stake out a table, or go to Taste, Savor of the Manhattan room (the main dining rooms).
Le Bistro was to die for, Los Lobos, great.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
Not enough to do. NCL advertises this race track and laser tag, but you have a better chance at an Orca breaching right in front of you than you have to get into these two. I counted and only one eight of the people on the ship actually have a chance to experience the race track or laser tag, and that is if the weather holds. So book these early or at home.
Beyond this, there is not much to do but relax on sea days. Trivia and games get boring after the fourth day of a person conducting trivia that can't speak english well.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
Jersey Boys is great 5 stars. Havana sucked!
The issue here is that there is not a new show each night. I am used to a different show each night of the cruise. The Bliss had a welcome show, Havana and Jersey Boys, thats it.
The live entertainment was great, the comedy the music all first class and top notch.
Service and Staff

NCL knows how to pamper you. They do a great job.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
The ship was clean, but the public bathrooms the sensors for the soap and towels hardly worked. And the hand dryers stunk.
The ship was always spotless and clean.
The design is a little weird. The Waterfront (Bliss's outdoor eating area), I never saw used. One bar was open once in a while. Wasted space. Not enough seating in the Buffet. No movie theater. The Observation lounge is great in Alaska, but the seats are few and always taken by someone taking a nap.
Cabin / Stateroom

Lots of space, a nice size shower and bathroom. Very comfortable.
Ship tip
Book dining and entertainment before you go or as soon and you get on the ship. Everything gets booked up real early and we missed a lot because there were not enough spaces for everyone.
Great, lots of wild life to see. One thing, we should have gone in at 9 a.m. not 7 a.m. Who wants to get up early on vacation? And if you don't you miss half of Glacier Bay.
I know you mentioned there being trivia and live entertainment on the ship, what other options do they offer for entertainment? I'm not a Bingo player, so what else is there to do? This will be my first time on Norwegian but my 19th cruise, and I am going on the Encore next year.
On the Bliss in October., Is there a splash pool, or small pool at best on the Adults Only Deck, 17, I believe? I see 2 hot tubs but am having a hard time making out if there is a pool.
Thanx!
