Review summary

Love Alaskan Cruises and this itinerary is wonderful. Just very limited times in most of the ports.

Onboard Activities

The racetrack was fun. The jacuszzis were not very hot. Too cold for any pool time.

Entertainment

We only did one show Jersey Boys, and it was excellent. theater is very small so even if you have reservations arrive early or you won't get a seat!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship didn't' really seem like it was designed for any Alaskan trips. Much better design for Caribbean. No solarium type pools area. Atrium area is poorly designed. There are a lot of noisy activities scheduled in this area and it is located right next to Guest services and shore excursions and dining reservations. It makes it very difficult to conduct any business. Also had a lot of folding chairs in that area. Not enough seating??? Observation deck was wonderful!

Cabin / Stateroom

A little small but the did have a coffee maker and a mini frig. The bathroom was well designed.

Ship tip

Shore excursion organization is not very well organized. I think this was only their second cruise, so may be they will get it together to get people off the ship faster.

Loved the town but the time there was way too short.

Victoria, British Columbia

Time is ridiculous and way too short. We got off the ship at 9:00 and had to be back to our bus by 11:00. We spent well over $100.00 each to see the gardens at night for an hour. Stay on the ship its not worth getting off!

Thanks for sharing your cruise.

Thanks for the review. We live in the Seattle area and are blessed to be near such natural beauty. I have been hesitant to cruise Alaska because summers here are so beautiful, but after seeing many reviews we are going to book an Alaska cruise. I am going to try a last minute booking, as we won't need air travel, and I have seen some great pricing. Cheers.

The round trip itineraries always have shorter port times. Compare the port times to a round trip from Seattle to a one way from Vancouver to Alaska or the reverse itinerary.

Nice review. I just got off the NCL Joy (round trip Seattle). I thoroughly enjoyed Alaska and the cruise, but I learned while on this cruise that all Alaska cruises aren't the same (really? 😁). I need to look closer at what the ports offer and more importantly, the time docked at each port. I will also seriously consider the one-way Alaska cruises. 🍹
