Review summary

All said above. The ship is too big for my comfort. Main thing is, the schedule for all the ports are not set up properly. A ship that large should have priority for scheduling their stops. It's a new ship and they don't have the kinks worked out yet even though there are people that are suppose to know what they are doing. Don't let this be your 1st cruise!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship is too big for my liking. It is a new ship so it is clean and nice. I prefer the layout of smaller ships.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Just a little smaller than the older ships but a nice room. Some features are very nice.

Ship tip

Don't use the Studio rooms for singles unless you are a guy and very tiny spaces don't bother you.

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

Just got on and off ship there.

Cruise Inside Passage, Alaska

5 out of 5
The inside passage is beautiful. Get a balcony so you can see it all.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Juneau is a beautiful place, shopping is good and fun things to do.

Skagway, Alaska

3 out of 5
The excursion we took was OK. but not great. It was cheap and as they say, you get what you pay for. Glass Blowing

Cruise Glacier Bay

3 out of 5
Not really worth and all day of sailing because the Glacier is melting so fast. 50% of it was gone from 3 years ago.

Ketchikan, Alaska

2 out of 5
Norwegian just doesn't have the stops on this cruise set up right. To be a BIG ship it, they need more time in these ports and where not everyone gets off or back on at the same time.

Victoria, British Columbia

2 out of 5
Victoria is a beautiful city but you need more than a couple of hours to see what is there. Don't schedule it for after dark for a couple of hours. Unhappy with this total stop.

Disembarkation

Again, it was OK but there were too many people trying to get off at once.

Thanks for sharing your cruise.

Port schedules are clearly posted and that is part of deciding if that cruise is for you.

Big or small they should all get same attention or priority for based on traffic at ports. Also bigger ships are slower to maneuver and take longer to get underway because of size and weight. That being said they should let ships smaller ships go first when possible as they can dock and depart much quicker.

Good points. I'm on the NCL Joy sailing Saturday. We have 10 hours at Victoria. The other stops are shorter and hopefully wont be a mad rush. All my excursions are through NCL, so getting back on the ship in time wont be a problem. 🍹
