Review summary

Due to a hurricane we were rerouted to San Francisco, San Diego and Encenada. I understand safety but captain waited until be were all on board and briefly had set sail when he let us know we were not going to any of our destinations. We planned this trip for over a year, could have been transparent from the beginning. Don't get any spa services because you will leave feeling worse as staff point out all your flaws and try to sell, sell, sell products to you at the expense of your self esteem.

All the bad reviews are coming in because of bad weather hello get over it do you want to be out to see in the storm

Safety is first.

Absolutely, I agree nor would I want them sail into unsafe conditions. However, I am upset that staff waited until we were minutes out to see before letting us know, when it was known already. Many got off in San Diego and flew to their destinations as they had family waiting at a port for a wedding, etc. Atleast give us the option fo decide. Not sure if I would have still went or not but I would not have been blind sided.

did you not know there was a hurricane before you left for the port? Did you expect them to sail into it? No cruise line can control the weather no matter how hard they try.

Happens a lot on cruises to Caribbean and Bahamas and sometime in the Pacific. NCL cannot control nature and fast changing conditions. One cruise we thought was going to be changed was not as the storm condition and direction changed a day later.

At least you could have cancelled the non-guideline tours that were booked.

Just curious, if they told you just before you boarded, would you have gone home?
