Review summary

Overall, we enjoyed the ship very much but our course was changed at the last minute and we didn't go to even one port that we paid for due to weather. Felt like I didn't get what I paid for. They did have excellent service and the drinks were strong but I felt it wasn't the vacation we signed up for. What a shame too because it would have been perfect otherwise.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food was pretty good overall. At least at the restaurants. The buffet was hit or miss. At the buffet, not very much stood out, less than half my plate I could even stay anything good about. The restaurants were a little better. Most dishes were delicious but there were a few that didn't do so well. They made up for it with the heavy drinks throughout the whole trip to try to make up for not going to the ports we paid for due to bad weather.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
There were lots of activities, game shows, trivia, laser tag, race track, etc... The pool was my favorite part. It's beautiful with a big screen and slides. The pool itself was rather small but lots of seats to get a nice tan. Second most favorite, was Ocean Place which consisted of social club, shopping, and of course, the casino.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Though I enjoyed Jersey Boys, it felt a bit outdated, especially because it's more for the 'four seasons' generation. I liked the songs though, but I would have enjoyed a show with more of a storyline than trying to make it in entertainment. Havana had nice looking costumes and beautiful cast, but the only highlight of that show was the boys taking off their shirts. The storyline was boring and I couldn't connect to any of the characters because I couldn't really hear them. The music overshadowed the performer's voices and the story was lost.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The service was excellent. Our steward greeted us by name and cleaned our room thoroughly and the extra animal towels were a nice touch. Some of the staff speak other languages besides English, so there was a language barrier with several employees. Most were very nice. Just be patient.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
This is a beautiful ship. It felt very luxurious and had alot to offer. For the most part, it was clean and I felt very comfortable throughout my trip. They are big on "washy washy" and squirt hand sanitizer on your hands and sing the washy washy song that gets stuck in your head days after your trip!!

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
It was a nice room. Very small but we made due.

Ship tip

Keep your luggage tucked under your bed and you'll have some walking space and bring a power strip for extra plugs. Before you go on the race tracks, don't bring opened toed shoes, and wear pants. For the pool slides, put a bandaid on any piercings, they won't let you ride if you have them!

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
It was well organized but it did take a while. We didn't realize we had to get color tags the night before. Don't forget to pick them up so you're not waiting. I didn't mind, they had breakfast so we didn't mind staying a little longer to enjoy the ship.
