Not the cruiselines fault but too many changes in schedule made it really hard to book excursions and other plans. Kind of a stressful experience. The ship was older needed a couple of repairs. Employees of the ship were a little grumpy.

Very nice cruise. Israel was subsitued for Egypt do to civil unrest in Egypt. Cruise ship food and was very good to excellent. Entertainment was excellent. Israel destinations were educational. Greece destinations are always fun. Istanbul, Turkey was the best surprise. Even though it was obvious I was a USA westerner, the islamic people were warm and very friendly. Shipboard: Wish front desk was more truthful. If you wish to change rooms, forget it. Exchange rate was not that great, but convenient. Internet service was poor quality and expensive. This is due to the crew using the same satellite. Probably little will happen because this is a Gold Mine for the cruise industry. Overall ship was very good for median size cruise ship. Clean and well maintained.

Everything wonderful! Had only one bad experience we thought we had booked a shore excursion with H.America but booked it with cheap cruise. Com. By mistake we were told by H. America you should not trust tour groups in Egypt. For four days we Agonized over the trip no one on Holland America could tell us if it was safe. We decided to look at the tour director and decided whether to go or not to Pyramids Missing a chance to see them. As it turned out the trip could not have been better the guide was excellent and very protective of us while we were in Egypt. Why put us through that worry. Also I would like to See free Internet or Wi-Fi on the boat.

On the 2nd day of the cruise I was not at all well, not only did I have a case of sinusitis which I had to go to the ship doctor to get an antibiotic to help me out. As well I did notice a lot of passengers were experiencing stuffed up nose, or runny noses as well as a cough. A couple who were dining with us "Lloyd & Nickie Campbell" were infected with this flu type illness that I had. About 10-11 days into the trip my shipmate Therese Lauze came down with the same symptoms. Let's talk about meals, breakfast was good, though the porridge was terrible, as well lunch was equally good. The dinners was another topic altogether. Whatever one had ordered be it fish, poultry, etc. was so salty one couldn't eat it. On the positive side, your staff was always helpful. I'd like to point out that before I got help from your ship doctor, I paid $12.00 for a small bottle of regular tylenol from the small shop connected to your clothing store only to find out they were available at no cost from the medical office. I was not well the entire trip and was disappointed. This voyage was a gift from my husband to celebrate my 70th birthday. My husband is not a well man and couldn't chance the trip. Of course he was saddened by all my troubles. Whatever did happen at the 1st port in Spain? We had no shuttle to take us into the city and it was a long walk for a healthy person. I would not at this time consider another cruise with your company.

first impression of the ship was wow ,then as we went to the lido for lunch and looked around it was inundated with the elderly!!! very disapponting to be on a cruise with people that are in wheel chairs ,using walkers or worse yet scooters!!! no steel drums,no american food, and no night life. it was awful going to a bar and finding old men sleeping and snoring with thier mouths open in a bar!!! more like a nursing home on the water not a cruise for fun!! then trying to get a lounge at the pool was a joke too.once again the elderly taking up chairs and sleeping by the pool . my husband and i have been on 4 previous cruises and 1 with celebrity and the other with royal carribean,NEVER NEVER AGAIN will we stray from royal!!! Excursions were awesome,and the cool wet towel to welcome us back to the ship after the hot day off the ship was a very nice touch.as well as the water or lemonade. th crew were wonderful on the noordam couldnt ask for better staff.just better food on the lido/buffet. crew always smilng and happy. which that made our trip bearable.

The ship and its crew were absolutely wonderful. The people could not do enough for us. Outstanding cleanliness and it paid off "healthwise". Great shows. One stop that was disappointing, though, was Samana. But all the other stops were very, very beautiful and educational.

The cruise, staff, food and ship were super. I couldn't give it a 5 because of where we visited--which is really my fault as maybe I picked the wrong cruise. This was my first Carribbean cruise and I expected to see more but this was not Holland America's fault. We have done most of our cruising in Europe and it has been more active and more sights to see. The staff and food was outstanding

My sister and I booked at the last minute and we certainly made the right choice. We had an inside stateroom that was the best room I'd ever had on a ship- as far as space was concerned. The staff was esceptional all over the ship, the meals were excellent, the shows were very good, the orientation for tours and such were very helpful. The only thing I'd like to see happen is Free WiFi. In this day and age with everyone wanting to stay in touch I think it would be a great thing if you could make it happen. betty

Service was again impecable. The ship was beautifully maintained, the room stewards attentive, dining room service excellent. Enjoyed each port. Entertainment needs to be upgraded, but we certainly appreciated all the trivia games.

Overall ship was better than expected.

Dissapointment with the activitie -Explore- Using Windows8. There was no software Windows8 on the Laptops and Screen. The Cooking lessons where verry good!

We have cruised with many different cruise lines, and were told that Holland America was the Best of the best, so we tried it. Although the service was great and the ship was everything we expected, we did not feel that it was that much better than many of the others that we had been on.I loved the ship, its level of service and the food. I thought the entertainment was not as good as I would expect in some cases. Also we had a smoker in the next cabin and when on the balcony of our cabin we were subjected to it. I would recommend booking on the port side where i understand smoking is not permitted.

After several days of being ill, we discovered a large quantity of mold under the bath tub. They changed our cabin (not quite as nice as the first), but nit let us talk to a doctor about the mold issue without paying the fee. The front desk supervisor told me that I couldn't prove that there was mold, therefore it didn't happen. After a lengthy letter to the captain, we were allowed to see the doctor at no charge. He, of course, followed the company line that the mold was not dangerous or that it could have contributed to our illness. So much for customer service.

Very well kept and clean ship with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff

All aspects done very well. A great value and a great way to visit Europe

Good cruise. Food and service were very good. Internet access was very expensive as were the shore excursions. Ship entertainment was only OK.

The ship is beautiful and very well maintained. It is managed expertly, it is safe and secure and the staff are great.

It's clear that being purchased by Carnival has not enhanced the cruise experience offered by HAL.

The entertainment was plentiful. The food was fabulous. The personnel on board were friendly, from the maintenance help up to the captain. The ship was spotless.
