On half moon cay do not rent the cabinas. Didn’t need to first. They had plenty of chairs and shade. They are not reserved. It’s first com first serve and we had to walk along way and wait (along with others to have one set up for us.

To avoid the mass gaggle of kids at the main pool, use the Sea View pool, also on the Lido deck. This is adults only and has its own bar, but unfortunately does not have a retractable roof like the other pool for bad weather.

Choose a room on levels 5, 6, 7 to avoid being above or beyond public areas. We were aft and didn't mind that as the walking was good for us. Also, if you are sailing to a destination that may be cold, bring layers. The ship public areas were usually warm so I was glad that I wasn't always wearing a long sleeved top.

Definitely worth the extra cost to get a room with a balcony. Views are incredible and blackout curtains are fantastic considering the midnight sun.

Lunch at the New York Grill is great and away from the hustle and bustle of other restuarants. If your going to shows or presentations get there early in many of the shows, talks, and demonstrations people ended up sitting on the steps or standing along the walls !

Love The Dutch Cafe. If you want to sample typical Dutch fare this is the place to go. We always enjoyed croquettes and frites as a quick lunch

Explore the ship. Enjoy some poffertjes (small Dutch pancakes) at the Grand Dutch Cafe for no extra fee. We spent a sea day going up and down each stairwell just to see the ship’s art collection, which we loved.
