The food offerings in the main dining and specialty restaurants were exquisite. The lido deck buffet was always chaos and the food was not as good. There needed to be more water stations throughout the ship and maybe soft drink machine.

Onboard Activities

I took part in several onboard activities. Thomas was a new member to Nieue Stattendam and he did a great job. The only issue I experienced was poor planning for the watercolor intro class. The classes were always full and after 5 attempts myself to get a seat I gave up. This frustration was evident one day when a fight broke out between two people over a seat resulting in one guest slapping another.

Reykjavik is a nice port but the distance from the port to the airport is 45 min by taxi. The cost is quite expensive (28,000kr/$205) so plan ahead and consider a ride share with other guests.
