Smile and meet some locals, they're the friendliest, and most welcoming around. Relish the fact that you're at the end of the world.

A beautiful day. Although the community is small, it is an interesting and friendly place. Beside the usual walking tours, there was also boat tours out to the icebergs, and tours to the glacier. That was what we did, and it was great! The views as we cruised along were spectacular. And once at the base of the glacier we were able to set foot onshore and explore. I will try to add photos.

A small village of 1,000 people. The port facilities can only handle one tender at a time. We spent 2 1/2 hours total waiting time for a two hour walking tour on our own. Big ships should NOT go here.

We walked to the church and on the way saw lots of local crafts. There was a grocery store to get souvenirs or Danish snacks. Bead crafts were lovely.

This small town is easily seen on foot. Not much to do here but the town is rugged and interesting. There was a gift shop where everyone stopped in to buy souvenirs. Be sure to see the dancing show put on for visitors. There is lots of opportunities for photographs but the area is hilly.
