Embarkation
5 out of 5
With assigned times to arrive at the cruise terminal it was an easy process. I preregistered with the cruise line so there was no extra details to detain us. They took our photos & we waited to be called aboard with our group.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We dined in the standard dining room & Lido deck. HAL food never disappoints!!! They have the best food. They always asked if you wanted something else to eat.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
The last day at sea they had to close the pool, but otherwise the pools were great. We mostly laid around the decks enjoying the sunshine while reading.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
It was too bad that the comedian couldn't get any laughs.

We purchased a balcony room but not a specific room. We were blessed with a huge balcony-it must have been 12' deep.
Ship tip
Staying on the 4th floor near the back allowed us to be close the all the activities down below us, but also take the elevator up right to the lido deck & back pool.
After waiting a while to get on a tender, we walked half way through the town & went back to the ship. Nothing to do there & we were to early for whale watching.
We visited the donkey sanctuary- just be careful feeding them as the bite. We rented a car at the airport & drove around to different snorkel spots. Saw a sea turtle at 1000 steps & the coral was awesome at Karpata.
We rented a car & got to see other other side of the island which is very rugged. We snorkeled on the north end of the beach by the big hotels. Fantastic snorkeling & got to see to very large sea turtles. Look for the catamarans for the best location.
This is our 1st time snorkeling on Curacao. We rented a car right at the cruise terminal & got out of the city for the 1st time. It is very lush compared to Aruba & Bonaire. We snorkeled at Playa Porto Marie which was teaming with fish & sea turtle. It was $3 each to get in & renting lounge chairs was equally inexpensive.
