Very relaxing with no issues. Crew was very professional and cabin was neat and clean every day. Food was well prepared, but the open seating menu was repetitive.

Our cruise was still great because the weather was beautiful and we met some wonderful people.If your a senior I think you would enjoy this ship but it's not the best ship for younger people.

Ship was in great condition, room was very comfortable, crew was very helpful, food was good, we really liked amber cove Dominion republic and cruise island of coco cay,

Highly recommend this ship, the Nieuw Amsterdam. The entertainment all around was spectacular! The talent level of the dancers and singers were incredible. Service was awesome and all staff were so friendly.

If you have always wanted to transit the Panama Canal, HAL offers an enjoyable trip with plenty of excitement and, in our opinion, great service.

Had a great time would do it again. The food was lovely. The scenery was amazing. Really enjoyed walking around all the places we stopped at. Watching the dolphins following our ship was great and seeing ocar whales was a high light. The people on board were friendly. The happy smiling faces of the staff certainly made you feel at home.

Could not have been happier. Definitely will cruise with Holland American again. Attention to detail and upbeat mood exceptional. Looking forward to next cruise in December.

Cruise was wonderful. I would recommend to anyone! Enjoyed every minute of it!! Would use Holland Ameria again for another trip. Looking at a northeastern cruise.

Good, i ilked it very much and the wather was perfect. And everyone on the ship was so nice and the ship was well cleaned and the cabins was absolutely stunning.

Amazing ship and cruise. Sailed inside passage to Glacier bay 5-12 Aug 17 It was fantastic. We had a large signature suite and loved the food drinks and great service.

This was my first cruise with holland and it was mediocre compared to Royal Caribbean. Food lines were long in lido, I asked for veggie meals and they were heated in microwave and served in same dish and moreover they were same from lido's afternoon buffet, ketchup in lido was not where one would expect next to fries or hash browns and instead of helping us get it they told me to get it from the other end. So so experience for me.

Crew was great, which is why it got a 1... but with TWO on board fires that last two days of our cruise I would think twice before boarding this vessel. One was an electrical short which caused a micro Eti catch fire then last night the incinerator caught fire. Not great hearing two emergency alarms on one cruise. This is my fifth cruise and the first time on holland America and the first time with issues. Not impressed. Won't be using them again.

Was my 5th cruise and first with Holland America - will use a different line next time. The two onboard fires were very disconcerting and make us wonder about fleet maintenance.... and the entertainment was limited and often connected to sales pitches...... nickled and dimed throughout the cruise.

If you want the ultimate Alaska glacier cruise, be sure to plan with extra $$. There were glacier excursions in Juneau and Skagway but trips were around $300-400 USD per person. The train ride in Skagway was around $180 per person. Ketchikan had crab boat or salmon fishing excursions, these were also well over $100 per person. For our middle class family of four there we could not afford to do any of the float plane or helicopter tours. Off ship prices for the same excursions were not much different than the ship based ones, so plan accordingly if you want to do any of the adventerous stuff. If you enjoy just hanging out in town in the touristy areas, that's available too.

for our first cruise, we really enjoyed the whole onboard experience, we really enjoyed coming back to the stateroom in the evening and seeing what animals our wonderful room attendants had made.

Holland America - Nieuw Amsterdam - Had a wonderful 7 nights cruise doing the Inside Passage Alaska. Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan all have the same shops to wander around and look at, mostly jewelry and gifts. The little towns are very interesting to explore and learn about. We saw whales, bald eagle, orcas, seal pups while cruising down the passage, we would recommend this trip to anyone thinking of going.

Nothing can prepare you for the vast beauty of Alaska. Mountains, trees, water, clouds, glaciers, wildlife. All the fantastic things you want to see on a vacation and more. This cruise was well thought out with the right balance of cruising and excursion days. We intend to do it again so we can see things we missed. I wouldn't do it without a balcony which gave us a peaceful and restful way to enjoy the views. When I go back I will be more vigilant about food venues and bar schedules.

Beautiful ship. Happy Staff.  Very good food. Alaska amazing scenery. Great tours. I recommend the Yukon train and 5 Glacier seaplane tour. Try the Tamarind restaurant. Rennie, Dayu and Jobelle lovely staff at the Tamarind.  Jeremie from Pinnacle Bar and Oscar, Diana and Ray great staff too. Good food at the Lido restsurant. Great staterooms. Friendly staff guest services. Love, love, love everything about this ship. 

we were on one of the firs cruises for the season so non of the stops were packed, each port was well covered and we had plenty of snow with breathtaking scenery

This was the first Alaska cruise of the season ,Juneau was raining , I walked around town and ended up at the Red Dog Saloon . Next stop Skagway , a little sunny ,next day Glacier Bay . Glacier Bay was my favorite part of the cruise , next stop Ketchikan a little sunny and then back to Vancouver B C
