Nothing can prepare you for the vast beauty of Alaska. Mountains, trees, water, clouds, glaciers, wildlife. All the fantastic things you want to see on a vacation and more. This cruise was well thought out with the right balance of cruising and excursion days. We intend to do it again so we can see things we missed. I wouldn't do it without a balcony which gave us a peaceful and restful way to enjoy the views. When I go back I will be more vigilant about food venues and bar schedules.
Embarkation

The lines were Disneyland size but moved very quickly.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The dining room was great. We had trouble using specialty restaurants. The Pinnacle Grill was also Rudy's and we were not informed about which nights it was Pinnacle. Lido Market closed earlier than we expected. We needed a reference we could take with us that listed all food and bar venues with times of operation. The dining app on the tv was not accurate.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
There was plenty to do and something for everyone.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We were with the Inspiration Cruise group and were very pleased with the number of chances to see Amy Grant and the performers she brought with her.
Children's Programs
Did not bring any children.
Service and Staff

Everyone was friendly, cheerful and efficient.
Ship Quality

Lots to look at and very well maintained. No shortage of window seats for gazing out. Would definitely cruise with them again.
Cabin / Stateroom

The steward attended to our every need without being a pest. Every time I used my washcloth I had a clean one when I returned. Loved the cute towel animals! Our favorite thing to do was sit on the balcony and watch the scenery.
Ship tip
Check the menus and times carefully so you don't go hungry.
We had a great time in Juneau. The glacier was beautiful, whale watching was exciting. We ate at the Red Dog before returning to the ship. Even with 4 cruise ships docked it didn't seem crowded.
This was my favorite stop. We did the Lake Bennett Scenic Journey which included the WP&YR train ride. It was a beautiful experience even with light rain. We ate at The Skagway Brewing Co. and tried the Spruce Tip Ale. Would go back there in a heartbeat.
We did not book an excursion early enough to get any of the ones we wanted. Instead we did a Duck Tour and shopped. The planes made it too noisy to sit on our balcony but we found pleasant places inside the ship to enjoy the view. Will definitely have to go back and see all the things we missed.
