Holland America - Nieuw Amsterdam - Had a wonderful 7 nights cruise doing the Inside Passage Alaska.
Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan all have the same shops to wander around and look at, mostly jewelry and gifts. The little towns are very interesting to explore and learn about.
We saw whales, bald eagle, orcas, seal pups while cruising down the passage, we would recommend this trip to anyone thinking of going.
Embarkation
2 out of 5
The Customs computers were down, so we had a wait of 4 hours before we could embark on the ship.
So I really can't give any other stars than '2'.

Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Holland America have picked the right people for their ship, always smiling, always willing to help in any way, and just very pleasant to talk to.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
This ship is very classy without being snobby...well set out and extremely clean in all areas.
It is easy to find your way around because it isn't a huge ship.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
We had plenty of room in our cabin, at first we were concerned we should have booked a balcony, but when we walked into our cabin we were pleasantly surprised. We had a beautiful view of the outside, and we were positioned in a fantastic area.
We got onto a small catamaran and traveled up to see the North and South Sayer Glaciers...this was the highlight of our whole trip. Just magnificent, we saw an orca whale kill a seal...he was hungry.
We didn't do an excursion, we walked around the town and called into the Red Dog Saloon for a drink. You must check this saloon out while you are in Juneau.
