Review summary

This is our second Holland American cruise...and won't be our last. The cruise experience they provide is outstanding. The food is wonderful...even the desserts which, too frequently on cruises are pretty but tasteless...these were wonderful! The service was excellent! We loved the spa! We have already booked another passage with them!

The embarkation experience was delayed due to a worldwide computer problem that caused us to have to wait a long time to embark. It had nothing to do with Holland America, which handles this process efficiently.

We have cruised a lot, so don't care for going to the dining room. The selection of food, the quality, and the service at the Lido restaurant were superb.

Honestly, one of the reasons that we will continue to cruise with Holland America is their staff. Everyone, from our room steward to the waiters and cooks in the Lido, were just wonderful and made us feel welcome and at home.

The cabin was, again, what you expect on a Holland America cruise...comfortable, accommodating, and nicely appointed. The room steward was excellent and the room was always very clean.
