Truly the cruise to nowhere - just look at all the places we did not go to. Having only a couple hours in one port for an entire week is not my idea of a great cruise. While some people are perfectly content to never leave the ship, I'm not one of them - the ship is not my destination, It's my mode of transportation.
Thinking we were porting and would be off the ship, we moved away from our usual balcony and opted to test an oceanview. Boy was this the wrong week to do that!!

Food service crew, guest services and cabin stewards were friendly and provided great service. However, they all seemed to be under staffed as wait times were unacceptably long.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Easy to get around once you learn which elevators go where. Always someone cleaning something.
Love the "secret deck" as we now call it - always lingers available and the shower is a nice touch.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Large, true forward facing oceanview.
Cabin steward kept us clean and in stock - that's the good.
Not so good: window had popped seal so it was cloudy ruining the view, a/c didn't work so it was unbearably hot (they brought us a box fan), sewer smell in hallway.
The location would have been great for watching as we came into and left each port, but the cloudy window made it useless for views, but it did provide natural light. The cabin was noticeably larger than most making it very comfortable. I would gladly stay in that cabin again if there was a way to ensure it was maintenance issue free.
Did not do an excursion through the ship - due to itinerary change, port times were shortened and most excursions were canceled. So we were able to walk around on our own. Walked to the fort to eat ice cream and shop. Very pretty and watching the bridge move was cool.
Thank you for your review. I think there’s only one reason the balcony cabins sell out first. Hoping your next cruise is much better, maybe on a newer ship next time.
