Review summary

No way is this cruise a 3.3 . It’s not the stops that make all of your vacation but the cruise ship and how you are treated on the ship! They need ALOT of work

Thanks for the review. Alaska is primarily about the ports and not about the ship for most people. Hopefully you enjoyed Alaska.

Was on the Nieuw Amsterdam Panama Canal transit in 2019. While we loved the itinerary, cabin, wait staff in MDR and the ship in general, the food was dismal. Some dinners in the 14 nights were not fit for eating. Turned us off HAL forever, until we boarded the Koningsdam this past March. Total difference experience with the food, which was spectacular! In fact, we booked another on her in Jan 2023. My point is try the line again for possibly a totally new experience.
